"Champion struggled to get our project finished, having to come back and finish the project weeks after the initial install. They quoted quickly, got me scheduled for initial install quickly, and even got the windows in within a day. But when the installer said they'll be back in a day or two to finish the cosmetic stuff... they did not. It was safe in the short term, no damage, no risks, but cosmetically awful. The company was quick to recognize the problem, extremely communicative, and didn't charge anything to make it right. They stood by their promise to make it good for us. They also fixed our torn screen for free; the wind blew a heavy patio umbrella and it slammed into the window, tearing the screen. Side note, not even a smudge on the glass. It is quite handy to have technicians locally that you can just drop in to drop off a broken piece. Overall quite happy but it took a bit to get there."

"We have had an extremely unfortunate experience with Shelby construction. Initially the sales representative they sent miss-measured the door, which delayed our door a couple weeks due to having to remeasure and adapt with a new door plan. That should have been our first red flag. Weeks later upon installation, the reinforcement lock continued to pop up over and over. I immediately contacted the company to let them know, and they assured me the installers would come back out. That was on 8/25. I reached out on 9/2 and again at 9/23 in which I was ghosted. My husband then emailed and did not receive a response, but I then received a text message from Nicole setting up an appointment to fix it on 10/10 @11AM. My husband adjusted work schedule to be home for this?and THEY DIDN?T SHOW. We called and received voicemail and Nicole once again ghosted our texts. We tried emailing and calling again?it?s now 10/15 and they have yet to reach out with a solution. No faith in this company.

Yes, you can screw directly into stucco. Only do so if the item you are installing is a permanent fixture. Drill a pilot hole into the stucco using a masonry or concrete bit, then drive in the screw with a power drill or screwdriver.
Stucco will dry in two to three days, but you should wait one to two months to allow it to cure fully before you paint it. The curing process is slow, but leaving the material exposed to air and natural moisture will help it reach its maximum strength. If you live in a hot, arid climate, wait a month before painting. Wait two months before painting if you live in a more moderate or wet climate.
You should aim to let stucco dry for at least 48 hours before it rains. While misting new stucco and keeping it moderately moist is important for strength and longevity, uncontrolled exposure to rain can lead to weak stucco that doesn’t bond properly. Rain can also affect the stucco finish and the color unevenly, leaving you with less appealing siding.
On average, EIFS costs more than traditional stucco, both due to its complex materials and tricky installation. You'll pay between $7 and $9 per square foot for traditional stucco installation and $8 to $14 per square foot for EIFS. Contact a local siding contractor to get an accurate estimate for EIFS or stucco installation based on your project specifications.
If you're installing stucco in a climate with extreme weather, synthetic stucco may be the only viable option, as it lasts longer, is less prone to cracking, and resists moisture better. Traditional stucco is a suitable option in hot climates where moisture and rainfall are less common, so it’s a good option for affordability both up front and over time in these areas.
