"Very efficient and polite. Would have completed the job in one day had the had the exhaust fan with him because I wanted the upgrade. When he returned he brought a tech with him while he climbed around in the attic connecting the exhaust. I'm very pleased with the outcome."

"Charles and Thomas came to my home and performed an energy audit with a blower door fan that showed me where all the cold air was leaking into my house. They also inspected my attic, my insulation was really low, Brand New Construction offered me a great price so I went ahead and decided to have insulation blown into the attic. The same day they sealed all the leaks they found in the house.  I could feel a difference over the next few days, the house was no longer drafty with cold spots. Very happy with the air seal. The next week they came back and blew the insulation in the attic.  They also filled out paperwork to get me rebates for the work I did on my house. I received a check cut straight to me for that!  "

"It went great! There was no dishwasher in my home before so I had to have the cabinet cut out as well as electric and plumbing put in place. Cody was amazing. When he came out to do the estimate, he clearly explained everything to me. When he came back to actually do the install, everything went smoothly. When the electrician came out, he has questions about the install. I was able to call and let him speak with Cody so they were able to make the best decision together. They cut out my cabinet and added brackets to make the countertop level for the dishwasher. Before he left, he even explained how to use this new dishwasher. (There were a few things I didn't realize so I'm glad he did that.) It's been about 3 weeks and everything works amazing. I'm so happy."

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

If your ceiling fan is humming, that's usually a sign of an electrical issue. A low-pitched grinding sound could be caused by the motor or a lack of lubrication in the bearings, but a true humming sound will be caused by a failing capacitor or faulty wiring. Unless you have experience with electrical issues, you should call a pro for any ceiling humming noises.

It depends on your budget and cooling needs. Whole-house fans keep your home breezy by pulling in cool air and pushing out hot air. In places with milder climates, they can replace air conditioning. On the other hand, Attic fans focus on keeping your attic cool—not your entire house. Often, whole-house fans cost more than attic fans, with installation ranging from $600 to $3,600.

A small wobble isn’t worrisome, especially when you’re using your fan at top speed, but a significant one is. Ball joint fans, which are used on sloped ceilings, are more likely to wobble than a standard fan based on their design. But even then, you shouldn’t see significant wobbling, as this can be a sign of a bad installation.

There are many signs of a bad AC fan motor, including if the fan blades don’t spin when the AC kicks on or if they keep spinning when the AC is off. The AC fan cools down the condenser coil, so a faulty motor can also cause the system to overheat. Unusual noises in the exterior AC unit, including grinding or rattling sounds, may also be a sign that the AC fan motor is worn out.

The average life span of a thermoelectric fan operating seasonally is two to three years. However, the life span of a wood stove fan depends on its quality, usage, and maintenance. Regular cleaning of the blades and ensuring the fan operates within its recommended temperature range can help prolong its life span.
