"Jeremy and team did an excellent job. Professional, easy to work with, and knowledgeable. We had tree trimming performed at our home in Manitou Beach, MI. on two (2) large trees. We had to have many large branches/limbs removed that hung over the house and deck, with some over electrical wires coming to the house. They were careful and sensitive to the tight working conditions between our house and the neighbors house. Jeremy cleaned up the yard and chipped up all the trimmings. I would highly recommend Milks Tree Service."

You can shape a cherry tree by trimming vertical branches, dense branches, and intersecting branches. Your personal aesthetic comes into play, as well. They have also killed the Ailanthu altissima, known as the tree of heaven, though this is classified as a noxious and invasive weed tree.

Some trees will bounce back just fine, and others will struggle and possibly die. Evergreens, for instance, have a very difficult time recovering after droughts and usually die after periods of extreme dryness. Usually, you’ll have to just wait and see—if the drought occurs in wintertime, it’s possible that your tree will recover during the gentler springtime.

Once you confirm a tree is dead, you should remove it. Dead trees eventually fall, and larger trees in particular can cause damage to rooftops, fencing, flowers, and other objects. However, it is possible for DED to spread to other trees, particularly in northern states, like Minnesota. In fact, it’s a good idea to use geography to identify wood and determine which types of trees are in your yard. 

Unfortunately, the complex and shallow root system of elm trees makes surrounding elm trees particularly vulnerable to DED. Early discovery is key!
