"Don't go here! I dropped my push mower off and they said they would call with a diagnosis if it was worth fixing or replacing. Two weeks later, I hadn't heard anything so I called to politely inquire, and was told they hadn't even looked at it yet due to a back-up of machines.... so when I said I would come pick it up that day to take it somewhere else, I was told they would only release it to me for a $25 "early pick-up" fee for the time they had already spent on it. WHAT??? Don't go here. Poor communication, poor customer service, and poor policies."

I have been in business for over 30 years. I treat my customers with respect and take pride in my work.

"Do not give this guy any money up front! Poor work and takes off before the job is finished. Left our place in a HUGE MESS! Half finished. Painted over drywall dust so thick it came right through the paint. He does not know what he’s doing. Messed up almost everything he touched. (Xcon)"

Lawn Tool Repair questions, answered by experts

How often you tune up a lawn mower depends on how often your lawn mower is used. Minimally, it should be tuned up once a year. If you use it regularly or have a vast lawn, tuning it up every 100 hours is advisable.

Whether to repair or replace your lawn mower depends on what is wrong with it and how long you have owned it. If your lawn mower is relatively new, ensuring you regularly service it will help keep it in good shape. There are issues that will cost hundreds of dollars to repair, such as the engine blowing or the lawn mower going over rocks. Many people go by the three-year rule and replace their lawn mower rather than do repairs after this time.

The cord you pull to start a lawn mower is commonly called the “starter cord” or “pull cord.” This uses and internal combustion process to start the lawn mower engine and it prone to wear and tear over time. You’ll want to check the starter cord as part of your regular lawn mower tune-up process.

A standard home lawn mower with sharp blades can handle a thin layer of leaves without issue. You may need to make a couple of passes within several days to mulch leaves down, but your mower shouldn’t struggle. If your mower comes with a mulching kit, like an attachment to blow leaves out the side, that’s a good sign it’s ready for fall leaves. Set your mower to the highest or near-highest height for this project so it focuses on the leaves rather than the grass below.

There are a few reasons why a lawn mower cord won’t pull, including an engine jam, a tangled cord, a broken recoil starter, or poor maintenance. To troubleshoot, turn the mower off. Then, inspect the cord, look for any tangles, and gently pull it to identify where the resistance starts. If you’re not seeing any obstructions, you may need to call in a professional for repairs.
