Customers say: True professional

"Brian was amazing to work with. First of all, I had a scheduling debacle with my wallpaper not being delivered on time and he was SO flexible with his schedule in order to help me out when I needed it. Second, he did an excellent job putting up the wallpaper - brought all of his own supplies and left my house spotless afterwards. The wallpaper is up perfectly without any flaws. Would highly recommend him!"

"Our living room ceiling was damaged from a previous roof leak. The plaster was cracked and loose. It looked really bad. Mr. Jones repaired the damaged plaster and repainted. We have a large open living room with a ceiling that flows into the dining room and another room. It's not possible to tell where the new painting stops. My husband (a commercial electrician and renovator of rental properties) came home and said, "this is flawless work!" He didn't know the name of the company! Mr. Jones was prompt in returning my initial phone call. The work was started quickly and they finished in just a few days. I would definitely use this company again!"

"I want them to paint the ceiling in 3 rooms, a bathroom and also some of the walls. I have only lined up the job and they haven't come out to get the job done. They said they had other jobs to do before they would come out to my house. They are supposed to come before Thanks Giving. They have been really good so far. They quoted about a 100 $ for a room, but I am not sure about the total amount."

"My experience with Jam was nothing but great. Jeff, Will, Shane and Kevin were the best. They were very friendly and personable and did a beautiful job on white walls and dark green trim including bookcases and shutters. I will certainly have them again if needed. The cost was also reasonable. Thank you, Jeff!"

"Overall, we had a very good experience with Rob and Zach.  They were incredibly patient with our very challenging and large kitchen renovation ($65k total cost).  There were many design challenges to overcome for which they always found a creative solution. Rob and Zach run a very honest operation, including things that most contractors won't do, such as utilizing a Lowe's LAR account so that you can see exactly what you are paying for materials.  Payments for labor were done upon completion of work without pressure of deposits, etc.  Their pricing was definitely fair and better than other contractors that we had quote the job.  They were very prompt and very open/patient to our ideas and suggested ways to improve the design and functionality throughout the entire process.  We will definitely use Rob and Zach again in the future!

Wallpapering questions, answered by experts

While peel-and-stick wallpapers require no time to cure, the adhesives for other types of papers will take a day or two to dry and up to three weeks to fully cure. The differences are the type of paper, the type of adhesive, and the humidity and temperature in the space.

Your peel-and-stick wallpaper can fall off for multiple reasons, including high humidity levels, extreme temperature changes, poor installation, and even the wall surface. Textured walls can prevent the adhesive from fully sticking to the wall, making it more likely for the wallpaper to peel off. Low-quality wallpapers with weaker adhesives are also more likely to fall off prematurely.

Peel-and-stick wallpaper is designed to be removed without damaging walls, making it a good choice for renters or temporary design changes. However, damage to paint or drywall can occur under certain conditions. To prevent issues, the wall surface must be properly prepared before application—it should be clean, smooth, dry, and correctly primed or painted. Applying wallpaper to a freshly painted surface can cause the paint to peel off during removal. Additionally, removing the wallpaper too quickly or aggressively can also cause damage. For best results, always follow the manufacturer's instructions for both application and removal.

The color of the paint, its opacity, and the depth of the texture on the paper all affect how many coats of paint you need to apply to paintable wallpaper. You'll need at least two coats of paint to ensure even coverage. Don’t be surprised if you need to apply three coats if the embossing is very deep or if you use a dark color.

Wall panels offer functional and aesthetic benefits. From a practical standpoint, panels can improve your home's insulation and energy efficiency, especially if you opt for solid wood panels. They can also help protect your existing wall.

Aesthetically, wall panels have a knack for adding dynamic texture, warmth, and sophistication to a room. And thanks to their many different shapes, sizes, and styles, wall panels can elevate a wide variety of home designs.

Finally, it’s relatively easy to cover wall panels, so you have some flexibility if you end up not liking the look over time.
