"I recently had Vinyl plank flooring installed by Active Home Savers LLC, and I could not be more pleased with the results! From start to finish, Rick and his team were professional, efficient, and highly skilled. They paid great attention to detail, ensuring that every plank was perfectly aligned and the finish was flawless. They also did the trim quarter round molding which turned out amazing. The new flooring has completely transformed the look of my home, making it feel modern and inviting. I highly recommend Active Home Savers LLC for anyone looking to upgrade their flooring or tackle any home improvement projects. Outstanding work!"

"Patricia has done many design projects for me. Custom window treatments throughout my home, bath remodel, kitchen updating, assistance in furniture selection and more. This company is very easy to deal with and Patricia and her designers are the most knowledgeable designers I have ever worked with. I work with many Builders and she has helped with staging model homes for me also. They are the best around!!! Ann."

"My experience with All Around Moving was much better than I could have expected. We have lived in the same home for over 20 years so moving is not something I have much experience with; but Clare, the person answering the phone, was very accommodating and answered all of my questions and set up our successful move. The two movers arrived on time and worked together very efficiently to complete the move in the timeframe that Clare had estimated. All the items moved arrived in the same shape that they left the house in! No casualties!!! I would highly recommend All Around Moving to anyone who is looking for a moving company. The price was comparable to other companies I inquired about. They offer many services such as packing & storage that I did not use. We were very pleased with the service we did use."

Home Staging questions, answered by experts

Staging helps homes sell faster and often at higher prices by creating an inviting, well-designed space.

The main difference between a home stager and an interior designer is that the former creates temporary, generally appealing spaces, while the latter creates personalized design choices for your permanent home. A home stager seeks to depersonalize your home while also showing off the best features of the home to potential buyers. An interior designer works with you to infuse your personal style into the decor in your home. You’ll typically only hire a local home stager when selling your home.

In most cases, staging a home is expensive but worth every penny. According to the National Association of Realtors (NAR), 81% of agents representing buyers stated that staging made a positive impact on the buyer’s perception of the house and made it easier to visualize it as a home. The value of your home—which is to say the amount buyers are willing to spend—is based on perception alone and not the inherent value of the land or structure. Therefore, improving the appeal of your home through staging is likely to make your home more enticing during a home sale.

The average cost to stage a home is around $1,800, with most sellers paying between $800 and $2,800 for professional services. However, the total cost can vary significantly, ranging from $500-$600 for an initial consultation to $5,000 or more for comprehensive, full-home staging.

The final price depends on several factors, including the home's size, location, and condition, as well as the number of rooms being staged. Other key cost drivers include whether you need to rent furniture, the quality of the decor, the stager's experience, and the duration of the staging services. The scope of the project also plays a role, from virtual staging and simple decluttering to full-service design, which may involve repairs and maintenance.

The main factors to consider when staging your home when selling are your budget, number of rooms to stage, and how long to keep the staged setup. Since home staging costs about $600 per room when using professional services, you may want to only stage the rooms that are most important to potential buyers, including the kitchen, living room, and primary bedroom. You should also consider which repairs or updates are necessary before staging your home, such as painting interior walls, carpet cleaning, and refinishing hardwood floors.
