"This is a small, owner-operated business with diligent and trustworthy support employees. Kevin communicated with us regularly and was clear in his explanations. His estimate included minor repairs to siding. Where he noted defects (mostly due to aging) he pointed them out and even took some pictures to clarify what was wrong. He caulked areas, prior to painting, that should have been taken care of by the original builder. We chose a rather bold color to be applied to vinyl siding. He took the time and effort to make sure that shifting of the siding would have a minimal impact on the final appearance. His final invoice was more than fair considering the quality of his work. His attention to detail was incredible! He was easy to work with and we can't recommend him highly enough."

I do the actual work of design consultation, painting, wallpapering, and refinishing furniture myself. I have an assistant that does all my bookwork. I sub-contract other parts of the job like laying floor covering, or applying drywall to other contractors that I have worked with and find very reliable. I work on a cash basis usually in the form of checks. I require a third down when I start the job. Balances must be paid within thirty days of job completion. Most of my clients pay immediately when the job is complete.

We don’t recommend wallpapering over older paper. That’s because creating layers of glue can invite bubbling or excess moisture on the wall’s surface. You should also prime your wall before applying wallpaper and smooth the wall as much as you can, and another layer of wallpaper complicates this process.

While some people are confident in their ability to replace concrete by drilling out the broken pieces and replacing them with bagged concrete, it’s possible to run into snags that make hiring a professional worth it. Trying to level concrete slabs can require special equipment, which can be pricey to rent and tough to operate. It's also crucial to contact your town's municipal office to ensure you are allowed to take on the project without a permit.

While you technically can put wallpaper in a bathroom, it doesn’t mean you should. Bathrooms are high-humidity areas, but if your bathroom is well-ventilated, it can work, especially depending on the placement. If the wallpaper is installed away from direct water contact, like a vanity or accent wall, it will hold up better than if it were directly next to the shower. 

You may end up with extra wallpaper once your project is finished. Hang on to that wallpaper, as you may need to use it to patch up areas that get damaged later on. If you have a lot of excess wallpaper, try getting creative with it. You can use it to line the inside of a cabinet or drawers, for example.

Textured or patterned vinyl wallpaper designs are the best option for hiding imperfections. Embossed designs or faux finishes like brick, wood, or linen textures are especially effective at camouflaging dents, cracks, or uneven surfaces. Avoid smooth, shiny finishes, as they can highlight flaws rather than conceal them.
