"Ron from Ecology Products , INC He was very professional and explained All the different option's and feature's of the World of Insulation's...I Learned a lot that day. They showed up on the date and time we had Scheduled and even called the day before to make sure we would be home. His crew came in introduced themselves. "We had a guy come out and assess our insulation and he was kind of creepy. The way he talked, the way he went up in the attic and grabbed a handful of insulation, showed us what was there and got it all over the couch and the floor, and he ended up telling me  that he didn't think that I needed anymore insulation. I guess he was honest and I was a bit creeped out. He didn't make a bid because he didn't think I needed any more insulation. I'm pretty certain that we would not call them again."

Several types of insulation are effective for crawl spaces, with spray foam and rigid foam boards being two of the best options. Closed-cell spray foam insulation is a strong choice because it effectively repels moisture, resists biological growth, seals the air, and provides excellent thermal protection, especially in hard-to-reach areas. Rigid foam insulation boards are another excellent material as they insulate well, resist water damage, and will not settle over time like fiberglass or cellulose.

The best time to insulate a garage ceiling is when the weather is mild and dry. That means it shouldn’t be stormy, snowy, or raining, and the temperatures should be comfortable. Ideally, you’ll insulate your garage ceiling in the fall, before winter hits. Not only will you be the most comfortable, but you’ll also likely see the greatest energy savings heading into the colder weather with a newly insulated garage.

They are also more sustainable. There is also a professional system called Blow-In Blanket Insulation (BIBS) that is soundproof and moisture-resistant. However, BIBS must be installed professionally and can be a costly investment.

Pipes in your house can freeze after six hours or so if you lose power and temperatures are below freezing. You can prepare for potential power outages by winterizing your pipes with insulation. Also, whenever temperatures drop below 20 degrees Fahrenheit, turn your faucets on very low and leave them dripping until temperatures rise.
