Start by searching online and asking friends and family. Some exterminators are more well-versed in moth removal than others, so peruse their website ahead of time, searching for mentions of moths.
While on their website, look for any relevant licenses, certifications, and memberships to professional organizations. Also, look for liability insurance, as accidents happen when dealing with pesticides. Search for red flags by reading customer reviews online. Finally, give them a call to discuss the job.
Spraying for mosquitos is better than fogging. A mosquito barrier spray is designed to linger on surfaces and kill mosquitos for up to three weeks, and repeated visits from your pest control pro can keep mosquitos out of your yard all season long. Fogging is a short-term fix that only works for about 72 hours and doesn't kill mosquito larvae or eggs. If you’re concerned about the environment, a natural mosquito repellant may be better than either fogging or spraying.
Most spiders are harmless or do little more than the equivalent of a bee sting. Prevention is the best option for more serious cases. Keep spiders out of your home when possible. When you find spiders, a spider nest, or egg sac, remove it quickly before an inquisitive pet or child gets involved. When children are old enough, teach them to recognize the few dangerous species of spiders and avoid them to prevent getting bitten.
They’re a nuisance, but silverfish aren’t nearly as dangerous as other pests like cockroaches, mice, termites or bed bugs. They don’t carry diseases that humans or pets can catch, and they don’t cause widespread destruction like termites or rats. Silverfish are small and find it very easy to get inside any exposed foodstuffs. Like weevils, you may find them in unprotected flour, cereal, grains, bread boxes, chip packages and more. They will happily nibble fabric and paper as well, so they can cause damage to furniture, clothing, books, bedding, curtains and other materials.
If you seal bees in a wall and don’t leave them any way to escape, they may make one of their own. Otherwise, they’ll die inside the wall, and that creates many additional problems. It takes a long time, and the bees will start rotting, which can make your home smell miserable. All the dead bees and any honeycombs they may have created will also attract a number of bugs or other pests to your home. That’s why we suggest removing the bees entirely, and not trying to seal them away.
