"Michael Brooks and his associate came on time for a schedule basement inspection. They were very thorough and explained their findings and advice. They also explained financing options. We decided on the AquaStop Basement Triple Sump Pump fitted to the existing drain tile. With a deposit on the day of inspection, we were also able to finance the remainder of the cost, which helps us get through tax time. On the day of the install, Jacob called as promised to advise us of their estimated arrival time. The crew, Jacob, Dustin, Cesar, and Jaden, were efficient and responsive to questions. They explained all they had done and how each control worked. And best of all, they left the basement super clean after the work was done. Well done, guys, and well done FSM. Thanks for the peace of mind."

"I highly recommend Luckys Sewer and Drain! I had a problem with my sewer line, and I was very pleased with the promptness and courtesy provided by their team. The repair cost was very reasonable. Using Angi’s easy-to-use process, I submitted a request for servicing. A representative from Luckys called me within minutes after submitting my request! A supervisor from Luckys arrived at my house the very same day to assess the problem. I appreciated his quick response and professionalism. The next day, the supervisor returned to fix the issue, which he did efficiently. Luckys representatives were very friendly and incredibly prompt throughout the entire process. If you’re facing any plumbing issues, I definitely recommend reaching out to Luckys Sewer and Drain!"

Storm Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

The time to install a storm door varies based on who is doing the work and the complexity of the job. Professional installation typically takes a few hours, often between 1 to 2 hours, ensuring a perfect fit. For a DIY project with a standard, pre-hung storm door, you can expect it to take about 3 to 5 hours. However, if the door opening needs to be expanded or significant frame adjustments are required, the installation could take more than a day, in which case hiring a professional is recommended.

Storm doors aren’t necessarily outdated. In fact, there are many benefits to installing a storm door, including improving your home’s energy efficiency, keeping pests out of your house, and protecting your home against the elements. However, storm doors aren’t great if you live in an area with high humidity because the door can trap heat and potentially damage your front door.

You can determine what size storm door you need by measuring for the storm door. Take the width at the top, middle, and bottom of either your front door or an existing storm door, then measure the height on the left, center, and right of the door. Buy a storm door that matches your measurements' smallest width and shortest height.

There are several types of storm doors, including vinyl-clad, steel-clad, aluminum, and wood-core, and each type has its own benefits. For example, vinyl-clad storm doors are excellent at keeping out water, while steel-clad storm doors hold up well against high winds. There are also multiple styles of storm doors, ranging from full-view (made entirely of glass) to high-view (with just a small glass panel).

Yes, modular homes are typically safe for areas prone to hurricanes. In regions at risk of severe storms, local zoning guidelines often require that these dwellings be built using materials designed to endure strong winds and heavy rainfall, ensuring they meet the safety standards for such conditions.
