Get a quote! Brought five guys to do a 1-2 person job. When I asked how labor was calculated I was told that it was based on the price of materials, which also appear to be skyrocketing in price, so that makes sense. Admitted to charging $125 for materials that cost them $70 and I was able to easily locate locally for under $40. Drilled through a very visible refrigerant line.

Dan provided a solution that was much simpler and less expensive than other quotes. Work was performed within a week and came in under budget. We had one small issue that Dan personally came back and fixed the same day.

Great! A team of workers showed up and listened to the details of what I wanted done and went to work right away. They were done in about an hour or less.

Dan came to install a new electric box for my dryer in my basement and did a great job so I called him to install a kitchen ceiling light.  As I expected, everything went great!  
Dan is meticulous about his job and wants things to be done correctly.  He responds immediately and is very professional.  I trust what he tells me.  His prices are fair and his work is excellent.

Initially I thought things were fine. I ended up having a contractor take over my project and he wanted to take over the rest of the electrical work in the home. Dan insisted on $1500.00 up front to start the job and the remaining when he had the rough in work done for the balance of the $2000.00. I was hesitant but he insisted he was ethical and had no issues and his customers were always pleased. It was discovered that not only had an inadvertent hole been drilled through our upstairs bedroom floor, the hole fo r the panel was too large leaving an open gap in the wall between my house and garage. When the ceiling was drywalled and cabinets were installed it was clear that every single light was placed about 1 foot off from the plan he was provided. I had pendants not over my kitchen island, a recessed can under the cabinet above my refrigerator. I was at home for most of the work, but when I was away for a time, his crew took it upon themselves, outside the scope of the project to clip off at the ceiling every dangling outlet and switch I had in my basement. This was not done at my request and resulted in a ton of extra expense in electrical work trying to determine exactly where those wires went to. Since he was not finishing the installation of the fixtures themselves that I had paid for I asked him to drop off the supplies as well as calculate the actual cost of the services provided and refund me for my over payment.
I emailed him asking to meet with him to discuss my kitchen and received no reply. I emailed him again attaching pictures of the incorrect light placement and a copy of his plans that he left with the fixtures and he again did not respond.

Dan was very willing to educate me on the condition of my electrical service and recommended upgrades which needed to be done.  I plan on using him in the future.

I had a scheduled appointment with the service professor for this morning from 11am - 2pm.  When it came around to 1:30pm I called the service professor because i hadn't heard from anyone and they are supposed to provide a 15-30 minute call prior to arrival.  I was told they couldn't make it.  Some ill employee/s and the gentlemen who was supposed to come to my house went to an appointment and apparently there were safety issues, etc.  So..they had to reschedule.  I said that was okay as long as they were here tomorrow.  She said they couldn't be.  Earliest was Wednesday morning and I had the geek squad scheduled to come in and mount my T.V. Wednesday afternoon.  I wasn't comfortable with the closeness in scheduling and if something else came up with the professor.
I got on Angies list and located Dan.  I explained my situation and he said he thought he could help.  He was driving and said he would get back to me when his hands were free.  He called back within 15 minutes and said he could help.  He was to my house very shortly after that.  They were very friendly and worked quickly to get the job completed.  Couldn't be happier.  Thanks So much for helping me out.  :  )

Dan was very professional and did a great job replacing a bathroom exhaust fan. He promptly replied to my voice mail, showed up that night for an estimate and then did the work within a week of the estimate. The job was done professionally and at a very fair price. He does not try to sell you services you don't need and when he didn't need to replace ductwork he reduced the price of the quote he had given me. Very honest., professional and reliable service. I would highly recommend!

Dan and his two helpers arrived at 9 a.m. as promised and they set to work finding the best way to run power from the circuit panel at the opposite end of the house to the room where we were going to have the main floor laundry.  Then they were able to pass a wire through the basement ceiling and under the new laundry room.
If there is a way to get power there, Dan will find it.
We have also used The Power Company at our bake shops.

I couldn't be happier with Dan and the work that he did!  I had him come out to give me a quote for the electrical work in my basement.  He was out to my house the same day, right on time.  He gave me a quote that was considerably less than 2 other quotes I received.  Dan listened to my needs, gave me some ideas on different items in the basement (somethings I hadn't even considered), and gave me a quote on the spot. 
Once I hired Dan, he was out right away to begin work and was prompt every time he came out.  After was passed the rough-in inspection, he was right out to finish the work and we passed the second inspection as well. 
Overall, Dan is a great guy who does great work and I wouldn't hesitate to use him again and recommend him to those I know!

Dan showed up on time for the estimate, quickly inspected and evaluated our situation and offered to do the work right there instead of scheduling another time.  The work was done efficiently and he took the time to explain what he was doing so we had an understanding of why things weren't working.  We would definitely recommend The Power Company for any residential project, large or small.

Did a nice job overall.  Dan did a better job than others I had quote the job on fiding out the details of what was needed and calcuating the required wire sizing. The wiring appears to be well done and it was done quickly. The outbuilding was quite a distance  (350') so he also subcontracted the trenching for the buried cabling.  The refill on the trenching was not quite right the first time but Dan had them out right away when notified.

My wife selected a rather heavy chandelier to be in an upstairs room.  Our house was built in the late 50's, early 60's and when I took the old light down, I wasn't confident that the existing electrical box would be able to hold up the new light.  We looked on Angies list for an electrician in the GR area and The Power Company was near the top of the list of providers.  After reading the reviews, we decided to call and set-up an appointment.  Dan arrived 15 mins early which was great.  He looked at the electrical  box and was able to secure it so it could support the new chandelier.  My wife decided it was too low after Dan installed it, so he took a few more links out of the chain.  The end result was amazing!
We are very happy with the service that Dan provided and the cost was very affordable.
We would highly recommend him to anyone who needs electrical work done in West Michigan.

I called Dan after one of my can lights started smoking. He happened to be free and came right away. He took one look at the bulbs and told me they were not for use in that type of light. He gave options on what kinds would work, gave me an estimate and left to get the bulbs. He returned promptly and changed the bulbs. I also had a light that I did not want anymore and he removed it. It left a mess on the ceiling, which he cleaned, patched and then returned the next morning to paint it. Dan told me when he would be here and arrived on the dot. He explained everything fully. He was very professional and pleasant. His attention to detail was better than I have ever had in a contractor?and he cleaned up after himself! I have several other electrical problems in the house and will use him for all. I only wish he did plumbing, carpentry and handyman services!

Dan did a fine job listening to our needs and doing the work.  When a follow-up was needed he was available and fair.

Great service; came onsite to estimate and work was done the following week. Trustworthy and qualified.  I'd hire again for certain

Mr. Candela arrived exactly at the arranged time and was ready to begin work.  He gave me the best estimate he could, based on possible complications and started right in.  He was polite, knowledgeable and very competent.  He explained that he would have to make some alterations (i e..,lowering the position of a light and removing a pole and placing the fixture on the side of the outbuilding), to accommodate  the light fixtures that I had purchased beforehand.  He completed his work efficiently and charged me the amount of his original estimate.  I was extremely pleased with his work and the price for his services.  I would unhesitatingly recommend him to my friends and family and anyone else interested in having electrical work done.

Dan was very professional and provided us a reasonable estimate. He returned to complete the installation a week later. He and his employee were very professional and did a great job.
