"We have hired him twice. We were thrilled with his work both times! In this last job, he repaired a large hump in our hardwood floor that came about due to moisture. He was able to pull up the boards, fix the subfloor, and then put the boards back and refinish the entire 15'8"' x 18'3" floor. Price was more than reasonable. He and his crew did all of this work in less that a day. I'd give him 10 stars if I could! Highly recommend."

There are a couple of color options to consider when installing carpet in high-traffic areas (like entrances and stairways). Medium-toned colors and patterned carpets can work well in these parts of your home because dirt and stains can blend in easily. Dark carpets will also conceal marks and spills, but they show lint and other light-colored debris. Consider a medium brown or tan for your high-traffic areas. Either way, it’s best to avoid paler shades, like white and cream, which get dirty easily.

You can buy inexpensive kitchen flooring off the shelf at most home improvement stores with the best prices offered by big-box chain stores. Be aware, though, that not all flooring materials are suitable for DIY installation. Most flooring contractors can buy your flooring at a discount, so be sure to check with your contractor before buying your flooring materials.
