"I called for a free estimate, Justin came promtly and inspected the chimey. He showed me pictures of the problems and spelled out all the options. I explained to him that my cellar has floode due the problems and was anxious to get the repairs done. Justin quoted a price that was fair and much lower then any other estimates. To my surprise he said that he could do the job that day. He kept sending me pictures as the work progressed so I knew exactlywhat he was doing. He was professional and honest about what needed to be done. I was more then pleased with him and the company. I highly recommend .Chimneys are us."

Serving the Tri-State Area, Shamrock Chimney will provide you with a dedicated approach to ensure your chimney is kept clean and safe. Our team provides chimney solutions for every problem, protecting homes from dangers of leaking chimneys and flues. Call us today to schedule your next appointment.

"We had a great experience with Shamrock. My husband is an architect and pretty much knew what needed to be done to remove a wood burning stove from our fireplace and restore it to a working fireplace before anyone arrived to give us a quote. We had several contractors come by and try to tack on extra unnecessary add ons using scare tactics. Gary from Shamrock came and not only was he honest about what needed to be done he also assessed that we needed some repair work done to our chimney which my husband already knew had to be done. We were very pleased with the removal of the wood burning stove , the chimney repair and his promptness and professionalism. Honesty goes a long way especially when you are unaware of what the clients knowledge of the situation is. I would highly recommend and ask for Gary. "

"I’m very impressed with the service and knowledge of Super Sweep. They came out on-time and gave me an honest assessment of my chimney and provided me with sound recommendations. They did only what was needed , not what they could have done to drive up the cost. Over the years I’ve lowered my expectations when it comes to customer service because of past experiences. It’s refreshing to have a local company that’s prompt, professional and honest. Six stars. C.M. Madbury, NH"

1976 years of experience

Our relationship with Husqvarna actually started in 1973 when we began supplying firewood to the Mount Washington Valley area. In those days it was sawed and split by hand using a Husqvarna model 280 S chainsaw and a LaFont 2-way splitter. The last manual wood splitter was a “lickety”. The performance and reliability of the Husqvarna chainsaws led us to becoming a dealer for Husqvarna branded hand-held power equipment in 1979. As the demand for firewood and power equipment grew we brought the first mechanical firewood processor in the Mount Washington Valley into the mix. The processor is a 1985 Cord King 54 carbide tipped saw mill with a 12-way stationary splitting head. Today all firewood orders are cut, split and loaded onto the delivery trucks in a single operation. Custom lengths from 12″ to 24″ (in 2″ increments) are available when you order. The edge splits and chips are included with the load as they provide good kindling to get your fire started. We advise you to place your orders early in the season so that when burning time comes you have your wood stacked and ready to go. We are dependent on local loggers for our supply of log length wood so that it is to your advantage to get into the order queue early in the year to be ready for the burning season. Our standard load (as pictured) is 2 cords. Delivery outside our regular service area may be arranged for a delivery fee. Give us a call and join our list of satisfied wood burning customers.

Fireplaces questions, answered by experts

A chimney liner is held in place by a top plate and attached top clamp, both of which should be included in most chimney liner kits. The top plate seals to the top of the chimney flue and attaches directly to the liner. This not only holds the liner in place but supports its weight in the chimney.

Clean regularly, check for cracks, and inspect the chimney annually for safety.

Some of the reasons a chimney damper won't close properly include shoddy installation, age-related damage, or heavy snow or ice affecting a top-sealing type. Poor chimney maintenance and a buildup of rust, debris, or creosote can also cause dampers to jam. Annual inspections and chimney sweep costs are worth it to help you avoid a damper disaster.

Minor cleaning and maintenance are DIY-friendly, but professionals should handle structural or electrical repairs.

There are several maintenance tips you should take to ensure your pellet stove's safety and proper maintenance. You should vacuum the ash pan every week to prevent overflowing and clean the stove and surrounding vents every three to four months. It’s also important to get a professional inspection every year and install a carbon monoxide detector close to your stove. Be sure to dispose of hot ashes in a closed metal container; store it outside, away from the house. Only use the pellets recommended by your stove's manufacturer, and follow any cleaning and maintenance instructions.
