Having certain equipment on hand that must be a separate item to be paid for, i.e., a Lift ($700.00) and having additional time available for its use with unaccountable trees, was gracious. When he says he will be there at a certain time, he is. His expertise is impeccable. He works focused and does not wast time. He thinks through a problem before acting. He has a definite manner in cutting down trees that is both safe and productive. He works well with a "helper" via open ommunication. Safety is ;primary. His use of the Lift was amazing. "

Since overwatering can harm mature trees just as much as a lack of water, it’s important to know the signs of an overwatered tree. If your tree’s leaves are yellowing, wilting, or dropping leaves, it’s likely that you’re overwatering. Other common signs include rotting, fungi, soggy soil, soft or peeling bark, falling leaves, and brittle roots. 

If you realize that you’ve been overwatering your mature tree, stop watering and give the soil time to dry out. Then moving forward, increase time between watering sessions. 

Using a drill to bore holes in the stump's center speeds up the process, whatever method you use. If you don’t have a drill, you can still chainsaw or chisel the stump to make it hollow; it will just take more elbow grease and time. Steer clear of burning the stump to hollow it if you can’t drill some holes in it first. Otherwise, getting it to light, stay lit, and burn right through will be a challenge.

You can use a felling ax to chop down a tree by following the same prep and steps as a chainsaw, but be prepared to use some muscle. For trees bigger than 7 inches in diameter, it can take some time and serious strength to cut down a tree using just an ax.
