"Simplified Green Homes did a firewall insulation installation in the ceiling of our garage. They were quick to respond to my initial request. They sent an estimate promptly. Getting the work day scheduled took a bit of back and forth but once we established a date they were here and got the job done. Everyone we dealt with was polite and professional. I would definitely recommend this company ."

"Did the work on schedule and when it ended up costing less, he sent me a check for the difference. As I was not able to be there or see the work, he assured me he'd be available if I had questions in the future. Thank You Corey"

"Salesman (Bob) came promptly, polite, very knowledge, made sure the right color was available at time of estimate. Hired and scheduled date of removal of old and installation of new gutters, protector and downspouts. Work was done by two men-5 stars, quickly, carefully and efficiently. NOTE: The reason for 4 1/2 stars overall, some "glitches" (partly due to pandemic) that required last minute color issue and reschedule by 5 days. "Sammy" took care of that quickly and kindly, Thanks!"

Drywall Insulation questions, answered by experts

A post-drywall inspection could uncover many problems that weren’t present during the pre-drywall inspection, including insufficient insulation, missing weather stripping, improperly installed plumbing and lighting fixtures, flooring damage, drywall damage, plumbing leaks, aesthetic issues, and more. Structural problems, which are often expensive to fix and are common reasons to walk away after a home inspection, are easier to see before the drywall goes up, but a post-drywall inspection may highlight minor issues with house settling and foundation problems.

Yes, as drywall mud is going to have some uneven spots and bumps after application. Such imperfections are going to be visible after everything dries and even after you paint the wall, so you want to remove them. Learning how to sand drywall, taking your time, and following drywall sanding tips can help you have the best results.

You should not leave drywall outside, especially overnight or in a wet, humid climate. Exposure to rain and humidity can damage the drywall, weakening its structural integrity and making it susceptible to mold growth. If you must leave drywall outside during a project, be sure to cover it with a tarp or keep it inside a storage shed to protect it. Even drywall intended for exterior projects requires a protective moisture barrier. For best results, store any extra drywall in a dry area away from the elements.

There are several benefits to wet-sanding drywall, but the main perk is that it produces far less dust than dry-sanding. As a result, wet-sanding poses fewer health risks and makes less of a mess in your home. Plus, damp sponges are less abrasive than sandpaper, so there’s a smaller chance of scratching or damaging the drywall paper. Wet-sanding also creates a smoother finish than dry-sanding.

The tool you use to sand plaster will depend on the size of the project. If you’re just working on a small section of your wall to get rid of an uneven spot on the surface, hand-sanding might work. However, for larger projects, a drywall sander can make a huge difference when it comes to both time and elbow grease—and an orbital sander can help for detailed areas such as around ceiling fans.
