"I highly recommend Archadeck of Central Maine. The carpenter, Garret, except for a few hours on the first carpentry day and the entire last day, worked on this by himself. He did a phenomenal job! On the last day he was joined by Preston and he did a great job as well. This project had some unique elements. First, was the slope of the ground. Second, was the design. The lower deck was designed to hold a hot tub (not shown here) to be accessed from the upper deck in the area between the two railings. One whole side of the upper deck remained without a railing as I wanted deck access to be at any point along the footpath. It'll be my task to backfill the gap between the deck surface and the footpath. Total number of days worked on this project was six (6). TJ and Jessi are easy to work with and the cost was very reasonable. We are THRILLED with the results!!"

If you prioritize a smooth final finish, progress to a finer grit like 120 or 150. Avoid ultra-fine grits for traditional sanding, as it could close up the wood pores and make it harder to apply a finish down the line.
