"Jeremiah came out and tested the air and moisture and other items to determine if I had mold in my basement. After getting the test results there was evidence of mold and he recommended a company that provides a do it yourself kit for mold remediation. (Not cheap). After getting the items and realizing that there was more work, it would have been better for me to let my insurance company handle this as I do have coverage for mold/fungi. Though having a professional do the work is expensive, from what Jeremiah mentioned, it does not guarantee that the work will be complete or the source of the problem taken care of. He mentioned most companies will take care of the mold but not necessarily the cause of the mold. For this I would have to contact another company."

"The project got off to an inauspicious beginning.  It started two weeks later than planned, causing an interruption to our holiday plans.  The day after it started, a serious injury to a sub-contractor caused the schedule to be changed.  Of course, this was not anyone?s fault.  However, other parts of the project could have been completed while alternate plans were made.  This was not done and we were left with a demolished bedroom and bathroom for several weeks before any significant progress was made.  To be fair, after expressing our dissatisfaction, steps were immediately taken to remedy the problem and get back on a schedule.
While we were not completely satisfied with the time that it took to complete the project, we are very pleased with the outcome.  The bathroom is beautiful!  We are enjoying our new shower very much.  The heated floor system that Richard recommended was installed perfectly and has been a warm welcome on cold mornings.  The tile and plumbing work was done very well as were the finished carpentry and installation of the vanity and fixtures.

The closet organization system that was installed in the new bedroom closet has been a nice surprise.  Even though we lost 4? of width compared to our previous bedroom closet, we can fit the same clothes and shoes and have more room to spare.  The guys even installed a new wall mounted flat screen television in our bedroom complete with ?in-wall? cable to hide wires.  With the new paint, closet, and wall mounted television, it is like we have an entirely new bedroom ? at little cost!

We would recommend NE Renovations.  The price that we paid was not the lowest estimate that we had received, but was very fair.  NE Renovation?s reputation was perhaps the most important reason we chose them.  They have been in business for many years. They are licensed, insured, and trustworthy.  Richard is a nice guy to deal with as were members of his crew and sub-contractors.  So far, I have the utmost confidence that they stand by their work."

Unattended Death
Biohazard Remediation questions, answered by experts

There are different types of mold, and not all humans are the same. For example, a more toxic type of mold may have less of an effect on a healthy person than a less toxic mold in the home of someone who is immunocompromised. If you recognize any symptoms of mold poisoning—sinus issues, brain fog, respiratory distress, constraint cough, migraines, or any others—call your doctor or go to the hospital before you attempt any removal.

Most of the health problems associated with exposure to fiberglass insulation are short-term in nature. You may suffer from minor and temporary skin or eye irritation if you come into contact with it, and you may experience some sneezing, coughing, or breathing issues if you inhale fiberglass. Those with asthma and allergies may suffer more and longer. Though fiberglass was once a suspected carcinogen, there’s now no good evidence that exposure to fiberglass can cause lung cancer.

No, you can’t place hazardous waste in a dumpster unless you specifically ordered a dumpster for hazardous waste removal. If the dumpster company finds hazardous waste that it didn’t approve for dumping, the company will return the waste to you, and you’ll likely face a fine for illegal dumping.

Areas of your home may provide an ideal environment for green or black mold. Most molds love moisture and will thrive in wet or damp areas. Some types of mold, such as Stachybotrys chartarum, grow well on materials commonly used in homes, such as gypsum board and wood. Mold may also grow in areas where there are leaks, such as in bathrooms, kitchens, or basements.

Several household cleaning products will permanently kill mold, most notably vinegar and hydrogen peroxide. Bleach can also kill mold, but usually just on the surface. Any mold lingering underneath will survive.

For moldy areas larger than 10 square feet, you'll want to hire a professional mold remediation company to determine the best way to permanently remove the mold. A local mold inspector can help you determine the extent of a mold problem, and what steps you need to take to eradicate it.
