"Honest tech, Prior to this apointment I had someone clean my boiler who stated that my chimney needed cleaning. when the tech came in he detached the chimney pipe to the boiler and showed me how clean it already was, and told me that it did not need cleaning. NO CHARGE."

The self-cleaning oven mode turns the heat in your oven up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit to incinerate any stuck-on food or grease. This process can make your home uncomfortably hot for several hours. To clean an old dishwasher without a filter, start by removing the bottom rack to access the drain area. Use a damp cloth or sponge to wipe down the interior, paying special attention to the corners and crevices where food particles and debris can build up. Pour a cup of white vinegar into a dishwasher-safe bowl and place it on the top rack, then run a hot water cycle to help break down grease and grime. After the cycle, sprinkle a cup of baking soda across the bottom of the dishwasher and run a short hot water cycle to deodorize and further clean the interior. 

If you don’t want to remove the sink stopper, pour ½ cup of baking soda and 2 cups of boiling water down the drain. Start by pouring 1 cup of boiling water, then the baking soda, followed by the remaining cup of boiling water. Use caution as boiling water can damage PVC or other plastic piping. Using a scrub brush or slightly abrasive sponge, clean the top of the stopper, and run the faucet to ensure the drain is clear and the stopper is clean. 

Most washing machines will not remove gum. In fact, running an item with gum on it through a washing machine will make the matter worse. The combination of water, movement, and detergent can cause the gum to break down. Instead of it remaining in one piece, the gum can spread and stick to other items during the wash cycle. If you’re lucky, the gum will stay in the pocket it was left in, so you only have one item to fix.

Even if these foods are cooked perfectly, the odors they leave behind can linger well beyond the dishes being cleared and washed.
