"Top Notch Construct did an amazing job transforming my outdated 1970's kitchen and bathroom into modern living spaces! Tommy and Israel did a fantastic job from the flooring to the cabinetry, tile work and shower. I would highly recommend them for your next project. I've included before and after pictures."

"Mr Edes did a couple odd jobs, he was very professional, reasonable priced for the jobs he did. His attention to detail is unreal. I highly recommend him. He painted my kitchen, and cleaned up and put back everything. Outside he tore down an old deck and built me a new set of stairs. Not even a nail left behind."

"Innovation Painting & Remodeling is an excellent company, both in the fine work that their team provides and the professionalism of their people. Dylan, one of the owners, was onsite daily, reviewing the work and helping as needed. We had engaged Innovation to paint the interior of our house and to fix and replace light fixtures and fans. We are very pleased with the work and we highly recommend this company. The team was accommodating, respectful, and nice. We will be engaging Innovation to undertake some remodeling in the fall."

"I was very impressed with Sentri Homes - their customer service was excellent. They sent a subcontractor to install some vinyl laminate in my bathroom and he ended up getting glue all over the carpet in our bedroom. The sub ended up ghosting both me and Sentri, leaving me stuck with a ruined carpet. Sentri stuck with me for over a month to get the carpet replaced with the identical original and to get the vinyl job 100% completed. The carpet was a Home Depot exclusive and Sentri handled everything with them. I will be using Sentri for a much bigger renovation I have coming up soon, because I know that they will make sure everything gets done right no matter what problems come up. The vinyl looks great too."

"Contractor did an excellent job doing exactly what I asked for, which was leveling out part of my backyard with heavy equipment. Contractor was professional, proficient, and made sure that I was satisfied with the work both during and after. Very reasonably priced relative to other contractors. Worked with me to insure that I received great value for the cost. I will be hiring this contractor again for more work. Highly recommended."

Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, professional services include leveling and moisture testing before installation.

You can lay your laminate flooring in whichever direction you'd like. However, you should check your materials' instructions and see what the maximum length limit is for the installation. This differs according to the brand you buy, but you can expect it to be around 40 linear feet. Depending on the size of the room, this might dictate which direction you end up laying the planks.

A transition piece between carpet stairs and wood flooring isn't always necessary. A transition piece separates two types of flooring in between rooms and areas, like carpet and vinyl. Because the carpet on the stairs tucks into the seam, you can’t see the fringes, and there is no need to hide anything. However, you can use a stair cap if your stairs have a nose.

You can get away with stretching the carpet with some remaining items of furniture, so long as you have ready access to the parts of the carpet that require maintenance and you are not stretching through the furniture, as this leads to tears and fraying. Try to remove at least 50% of the furniture if you can’t remove it all.

The need to replace your flooring depends on the type of flooring and the amount of wear and tear it experiences through foot traffic. For example, you should replace carpet every ten years, but other, more durable options like tile can last up to 30 years. It’s best to speak with your flooring installation professional to determine the best course for replacing your flooring.
