"I first met Nathan, the owner of Absolutely Complete Property Services when he came to do the estimate. During the estimate it was easy to see his incredible attention to detail. While he wasn't the cheapest estimate I received, I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for, so I chose Nathan after a total of 3 estimates. His work was top-notch and he is a consummate professional. He communicated clearly, gave a 100% accurate estimate, and when bad weather interrupted the work, came back exactly when he said he would. His assistance was equally polite and professional. As described above, my EXTENSIVE gardens were completely trimmed, weeded, mulched, edged  and re-vitalized. I was impressed that Nathan was able to accurately distinguish my perennials from the weeds! He even left perennials that had self-seeded in areas where they were appropriate. When Nathan and his associate finished this project, the "curb appeal" of our house was completely restored.
At the end of the project, which took about 1/2 day longer than expected, Nathan came to see if I was satisfied with the work. I told him that I would like to hire him again next year (I had back surgery which precludes extensive gardening). On hearing this, he suggested that I actually have him come in the pre-winter season to cut back and clean areas in preparation for winter which would not be that expensive and save significant time and money next spring. I appreciated his suggestions which made gardening sense and would translate to savings for me next spring.

"Polite, knowledgeable and thorough. I hired Pros In Pink to clear the yard of leaves and debris and to aerate the lawn. Approximately 15,000 sq ft, Aaron's quote was very reasonable and the work was done as quoted. Actually, I believe he went above and beyond with the work done and he offered very useful advice. I will use this service throughout the summer."

"They were flexible around getting the job done around the weather, and we scheduled late in the season. They could not have been nicer, and they were very meticulous. No sealer on the lawn. I always think this job is more expensive than it should be, but they use a high quality sealer, which may be more expensive."

"David did a fantastic job here on our property. He listened carefully and then followed our unusual instructions. We wanted a light touch and to maintain the natural, Maine, pine look and feel of out property. The results are exactly what we were hoping for. Both he and his colleague worked extremely hard while they were here. They removed everything and left the place looking great. This was a 5-STAR job - 100%. I would hire David again in a heartbeat, and I can recommend him to others wholeheartedly and without hesitation. Thank you, David."

Lawn Care questions, answered by experts

The best times to mow your lawn are mid-morning or early evening. Mowing in the mid-morning, around 10 a.m., allows any dew to evaporate so the grass is dry. Cutting dry grass is easier on both the lawn and the mower, and this timing gives the grass blades time to recover in the sunlight before the peak afternoon heat. Alternatively, you can mow in the late afternoon or early evening once the heat of the day has passed. Avoid mowing too early in the morning when the grass is still wet with dew, and try not to mow during the hottest part of the day, as high temperatures and harsh sunlight can put extra stress on the grass.

The frequency of gardening service visits depends on two significant factors—the service and your budget. If you’re a gardening DIYer and only need someone to check on your plant's health quality, you might not need many visits throughout the year. However, if you love the idea of a garden but don't have the time or patience to plant, water, and maintain your garden, you might need weekly visits (or more, depending on the weather).

Mowing at least once a week during the growing season is a good general rule. However, every lawn is different, and factors like frequent rain and fertilizer use can cause grass to grow faster, potentially requiring mowing as often as every four days. When you mow, always follow the 'one-third rule': never cut more than one-third of the grass blade's height at once, as this can weaken it and prevent it from taking in proper nutrients. For most grass types, the ideal height is around 2 to 3 inches, though some warm-weather grasses do better when kept shorter at about 1.5 to 2 inches.

One of the best ways to save money on lawn care is to sign up for an annual contract for ongoing service rather than paying for one-off or as-needed services. If you guarantee a landscaping company ongoing work, they’re more likely to give you a break on the cost. Plus, ongoing services will keep your property in tip-top shape and help avoid the high cost of playing catch up on an overgrown lawn. You can also save money by sticking to the basics and foregoing add-on services like weeding and pest treatments.

There are several possible reasons why your Bermuda grass is not thick, with the biggest reasons being too little water, too much shade, compacted soil, drainage issues, and too few nutrients in the soil. Bermuda grass needs frequent and direct sunlight to stay thick, so thinning grass is likely the result of a lack of sun.
