"Technician arrived over 1 hour after the time given by office. Did not know the job specs that were given when appointment was set up. Had to return to shop as tech did not come prepared. When settling bill tech said $350. We explained that we should not have to pay road time for shop run. He called office and came back and said the cost was $350, taking the shop run off the cost. We stated that was the same cost. Tech said it was $75 for the shop run making the bill $425, so minus the $75 the bill was now $350. The cleaning of one pipe with no blockage should not be $425. Tech wore mask 2 out of the 3 times we conversed but the mask was not CDC approved, which means the customer isn’t protected. I think EcoClean needs to improve its communication with clients and needs to improve field tech and office communications."

"

During the home inspection process for a home purchase, our water test came back with elevated bacteria and chloride.  I called Randy to come out and give us some guidance and estimate and he did just that. He advised on when we should pour bleach into the well, how/when to bleed and then to call him to retest.  He also explained the different scenarios that could contribute to the elevated levels such as new well pump installed but cleansing after the fact may have been skipped or the water systems being under utilized for a period of time.

It was essentially free advice, but we'll definitely call him back for testing once we clean/bleed our water.

He was professional and down to earth.

Customers say: Quick response

"Peter arrived on time and gave a thorough site inspection . He didn't give me a solid quote. Instead, he explained his labor pricing, costs and approximately how long it would take. Peter removed and replaced the water heater. After clean up and disposal, the bill came to 20% under the amount I had budgeted. I highly recommend this 3rd generation plumber and would hire him again in a heartbeat!"

"It was late at night when we realized our water heater blew and flooded our basement like a swimming pool. We had to find a plumber and fast. we came across SWB he was out here within 30 minutes from our call the job he did was impeccable. He went above and beyond he went and got us a new water heater, installed it, and then stuck around to help us clean up, Since then we’ve used him for several other projects. Every time the professionalism came with him I would highly recommend him 100%."

Drain Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Bleach—even diluted bleach—is not always the safest option for cleaning your drains. With a high pH, bleach can be highly corrosive to many types of pipes, especially when used regularly. When mixed with household cleaners and organic waste, it can also create dangerous chemicals. Remember to use proper protective equipment and ventilation when dealing with bleach.

Yes, hiring a drain cleaner is worth it, especially when compared to the cost of not being able to use a sink, shower, toilet, or bathtub and the potential damage that flooding can cause in your home. You might try a temporary drain cleaning liquid or snaking it yourself, but if the clog is out of reach or these methods do not work, then hiring a professional drain cleaner is the way to go.

Clogs in a sprinkler valve can be caused by various factors, including debris in the water supply, sediment buildup inside the valve, or damage to the diaphragm. Debris and sediment can accumulate over time, obstructing the valve's passages and impeding water flow. Damaged diaphragms may develop tears or holes, leading to blockages and affecting the valve's ability to open or close properly. Regular maintenance and cleaning can help prevent and address these issues, ensuring your sprinkler valve operates smoothly.

Keep your egress window from flooding by ensuring that the drainage system in the window well is clear and in good working condition. Inspect the window well every few months to remove any blockages and test the drainage system. It’s better to discover potential problems before your window well fills with water during heavy rain.

As a general rule of thumb, it’s best to clean your linear drain every two to three months to prevent debris buildup. However, if you notice it draining slowly or an odor from your drainpipes, it’s best to clear the clogged drain and maintain it more often. If you let a clog go for too long, you may have to invest in the price of professional shower drain cleaning, which costs about $225.
