"Technician arrived over 1 hour after the time given by office. Did not know the job specs that were given when appointment was set up. Had to return to shop as tech did not come prepared. When settling bill tech said $350. We explained that we should not have to pay road time for shop run. He called office and came back and said the cost was $350, taking the shop run off the cost. We stated that was the same cost. Tech said it was $75 for the shop run making the bill $425, so minus the $75 the bill was now $350. The cleaning of one pipe with no blockage should not be $425. Tech wore mask 2 out of the 3 times we conversed but the mask was not CDC approved, which means the customer isn’t protected. I think EcoClean needs to improve its communication with clients and needs to improve field tech and office communications."

"Could a person who wakes up to no water ask for better service?  No. If Mondays aren't bad enough, we woke up to our water just stopping mid-shower.  After checking the well pump breaker and finding it fine, I hopped on Angie's List and found Randy Marquis Well and Pump and gave him a call at 6:55am. I expected at that hour I'd be leaving a voice mail but was surprised when Randy answered the phone. I told him what was going on and he said he'd send someone out first thing.  Even though this business is 40+ minutes away from me, Tom called to confirm directions at 7:20 and showed up at 8:15.  He quickly got to work diagnosing the failed pressure tank that in turn caused the pump to burn out as well.  He replaced both as well as the wiring to the pump in the well.  By 10:45 we had water (and better water pressure than we've ever had).  Tom was professional and explained what he was doing when I asked questions.  I called Randy later in the day to thank him and give kudos to Tom and found out Tom is Randy's dad.  This family knows good customer service.
I gave his price a rating of C only because I didn't get any other quotes so I can't really compare it.  Tom and I never talked about how much it would cost and I didn't ask.  I just needed water. At less than 4 hours from placing the call to having water back I certainly won't complain.
They have a 5 year parts AND labor warranty on their work which I also found impressive.
I whole-heartedly recommend Randy Marquis Well and Pump.

"It was late at night when we realized our water heater blew and flooded our basement like a swimming pool. We had to find a plumber and fast. we came across SWB he was out here within 30 minutes from our call the job he did was impeccable. He went above and beyond he went and got us a new water heater, installed it, and then stuck around to help us clean up, Since then we’ve used him for several other projects. Every time the professionalism came with him I would highly recommend him 100%."

FAQs for drain cleaning projects in Limerick, ME

On average, a plumber will take 30 minutes to two hours to clear a clogged drain. If the clog is located close to the drain or an access point and isn’t severe, the project will take about half an hour. If the clog is deep within your plumbing system or is a severe blockage, it can take two or more hours to remove the clog. For this reason, main line clogs tend to take longer, usually between two and three hours.

It’s possible to snake minor drain clogs yourself, provided they sit within a foot or two of the drain itself, but it’s usually best to hire a professional plumber regardless. Even experienced DIYers have a high chance of accidentally pushing the clog further into the drain using a drain snake or another tool, so hiring a plumber is the ideal course of action. A professional plumber can use camera equipment to locate and identify the clog, and remove the entire blockage to fix your issue permanently.

In most areas, drain cleaning professionals don’t technically need a license, as they aren’t altering your plumbing system in any way. However, we recommend hiring a drain cleaning professional with a plumbing license and certification. Certified plumbers are more likely to provide professional solutions to drain clogs without damaging your system. They’ll also have the diagnostic tools and experience necessary to remove the clog entirely rather than providing a temporary solution, as a handyperson might. Use Angi’s state licensing tool to check your plumber’s professional licenses before hiring.

Applying drain cleaner is a common DIY solution to clogged drains, but it can be extremely harmful to your pipes and lead to corrosion and leaks. It is almost always better to try snaking a clog than using a drain cleaner, but the best solution is to hire a professional plumber. They can locate the clog and gauge the severity using a camera system and then decide if using a plumber’s snake, auger, or drain cleaner is the best option to remove the clog and limit damage to your plumbing system.

The average cost to unclog a drain is around $200, with prices ranging between $110 and $800, depending on the type of drain and the extent of the clog. Hiring a professional to snake the toilet or sink will usually cost between $110 and $275, a bathtub or shower typically costs around $225, and a main line clog can cost between $100 and $800 based on the severity of the clog and how far beyond the access point the clog sits. Since the labor involved varies, most plumbers will charge an hourly rate for drain cleaning.
