"The previous contractor that laid the linoleum left ripples in the floor. It wasn't installed correctly. Top Notch Construct came in and did just that in the repairs, a Top Notch job. The team was also very professional and worked with me in understanding what they were going to do."

"Prompt response… very professional! I have been without a sink for two weeks, called a few companies and no follow up.. Tejadas was able to fit me in right away.. they were at my home on time and did a great job cutting my granite countertop and positioned my sink to get installed by the plumber… I would definitely hire them again for any future jobs"

"Ken was super responsive, professional, and very helpful when he put in our kitchen tile backsplash. He also gave us some great ideas of what it could potentially look like prior to completion. It looks amazing and we couldnâ t be happier with the outcome."

"After getting completely frustrated trying to work with a local tile store we were lucky enough to find Matt. They got in touch immediately , came by to measure and discuss tile options. They really listened and had some suggestions about tile types we hadnâ t seen. Wound up choosing a three dimensional subway tile we loved. They gave us a fair quote, showed up on time, and communicated through every step of the process. They worked clean- no mess at all. We absolutely love the way our kitchen backsplash turned out. I would not hesitate to recommend them ."

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

When working on your bathroom floor tiling, you should always tile the floor first and then refit the toilet afterward. This has both practical and visual advantages—the tile will have a better seal, and the installation will look cleaner.

On the other hand, when you try to cut the tiles to fit around the toilet, you’re putting yourself at a disadvantage. It’s a lot more work, it’s hard to be precise, and mistakes or miscalculations can lead to future moisture damage to the tiling, grout, and subfloor.

On average, tiling a shower costs between $1,800 and $5,000, with most people paying around $2,700. The price of this project depends on multiple factors, including the kind of tile you choose, the size of your shower, and labor rates in your area. If you decide to tile your own shower (instead of hiring a professional), it’ll likely cost $800 to $1,400.

No, painting shower tile doesn’t last and is better reserved as a temporary solution to refreshing the look of old tiles. Shower tile paint may last around one to five years, depending on how well you prep the surface before painting, the type of paint you use, the type of tile in your shower, and how often you use the shower.

Phone jack installation can be a complicated project that requires cutting holes into just the right location in the wall and running delicate wiring. This sort of job is best left to the professionals.

On average, tiling a bathroom involves about 12 hours of labor, usually spread over two to three days to accommodate prep work and curing times. A professional tiler can often complete the installation in 6 to 8 hours, whereas a DIYer might take 10 to 16 hours. The total project time is influenced by factors like the bathroom layout, tile type, and necessary prep work, such as removing old tile. The process includes specific timelines for different areas; for example, tiling a floor takes about six hours, while a shower area can take six to ten hours. It is essential to allow for adequate curing time—typically 24 hours each—for the mortar, grout, and caulk, which is why the project extends over several days.
