"Andrew and his crew did an amazing job building this garage. Even though he ran into some issues with the supplier of products he went above and beyond to make sure we were kept informed. Additionally, he also replaced (and improved) an existing garage door in the lower level of our home. He also repaired some siding on our house. They even put our two garage door openers in. Siding is one of your home’s first lines of defense against extreme weather. If you fail to repair or replace your damaged siding, your home is exposed to wind, snow, and rain—all of which can cause structural damage. Repairing your home’s structure will be much more costly and be a much bigger headache than simply keeping your siding in tip-top shape, so don’t delay—fix your siding ASAP.

Composite siding is very resistant to warping that can affect some other sidings. Because of its composition, this siding doesn’t have the same risks of moisture damage that can cause rotting, buckling, and warping. Avoid toxic chemicals that can leach into nearby lawns, as well as household ingredients like vinegar that can ruin paint and sealants. Instead, look for a very light detergent or a dedicated exterior siding cleaner. In a pinch, you can use a basic dish or laundry soap, but we suggest sticking with a dedicated cleaner.

If your siding is struggling with algae or moss, which indicates moisture issues, look for an outdoor cleaner that’s specifically designed to clear moss and algae stains. This is also a sign that you need to seal your clapboard against further problems.

Vinyl siding will fade slowly over time but will likely be most noticeable starting 10–15 years after installation. This timeline varies based on factors such as the climate where you live. In areas with more extreme hot or cold conditions, vinyl is likely to fade more quickly.
