For added support, consider pairing drywall anchors with a wall mounting plate. Extra heavy TVs may need to be mounted via the ceiling joists or beams.

Mounting a TV can help prevent some damages from occurring, such as water damage. Installing a new flat-screen TV costs between $160 and $375 on average. A local TV mounting contractor can give you the most accurate price for your area and location of the home that you are looking to mount it.

Finding a professional to mount your television to the wall is a little challenging because no licenses exist for this type of work. You could ask friends or neighbors for recommendations.
