"Though Rob was extremely courteous and prompt, he quickly diagnosed that we would need to drill into the basement floor to create a sump basin to prevent further flooding, at a total cost of about $4500.00. Wanting a second opinion, I called my plumber. Within seconds of walking into our basement, he found that we already HAD a sump basin, and that an old house trap was clogged and causing backup to the basin. For $1000.00, the plumber removed the house trap and ran the line directly to the sewer, cleaned the sump basin, and we have not had an issue since. In the end, we saved thousands of dollars and a lot of unnecessary drilling which would not have fixed the issue.
