I paid over 15K to have my basement waterproofed and a new concrete floor laid. Both my basement steps were ruined by Basement Improvements, LLC. I have steps from my garage to the basement that they removed and destroyed. They also ruined the step from my house to the basement by cutting the steps instead of putting the concrete around the step. They cut the steps 2 high and the supports holding my steps are already failing. They also buried the lines from my oil tank and heater in concrete. I filed a complaint with the BBB and provided multiple photos of the damage. I expect to be reimbursed. The communication was incredibly poor throughout the entire process. I did not know my steps would be cut or that my lines from to the oil tank and heater would be buried in concrete. I regret using Basement Improvements and wish I had chosen a more professional and responsible business. Nothing about the process was communicated to me until I asked a series of process questions. My questions about the process were treated as a burden from the owner down to the PM. It was never communicated to me that my steps would be cut. It was never communicated to me that my connections would be buried under concrete. It was never communicated to me that my steps up to the garage would be damaged. I found this team to be unprofessional and I regret not choosing Tx Hxxxxxx. I choose Basement Improvements because the cost was lower, but with all the poor workmanship, my cost is higher. Do not make the same mistake I made, choose a professional company to do this work.

I have an old farm house. It is at Least 200 years old. It has a stone foundation. Every spring my cellar fills with water. I was given a quote in November on 2022. They installed the water proofing that December. They kept to quoted price with no surprises The crew kept to the schedule I was given. They were professional and left my cellar looking better than I have ever seen it With the soft winter and dry spring I was afraid that their work would not get a good test. However, last night We got four to five inches of rain. In the past this would at least left a foot of water in my cellar. Today it is bone dry. Basement Improvement is a local family run business that I would highly recommend to anyone.

On time. Explained the work. Cleaned up. Will be using again.
