I fixed my dryer with Thomas' excellent remote guidance, changing the timer and the switch! Fabulous guidance Thomas, with lots of money saved! I learned a lot in the process. 2. I determined that there was no dishwasher leak and in the process learned how to check for leaks and trouble shoot for some common repair issues. It cost $40.00 but as I had some water on the floor, I was ready to get a new dishwasher. Now, I am confident that it wasn't a leak and caused by putting in the dishes in a funny manner and not a repair issue. I am using the dishwasher now again with no problem. 3. I determined with Thomas' help that the washing machine had a major problem and could have spun out of control into my wall....no question, it was time to get a new washing machine! I checked the drainage on my kitchen sink and learned how to empty out the "trap" and that most likely, I am okay, but what to swap out if I have continuing issues with slow drainage. "Walter did a great job.  He came to our house as scheduled. He even called to say he was going to be a little late as another job was taking him longer than planned.  He came on a Saturday at no extra charge on his rates.  
I was aware of what was causing the leak and what it would take to repair the leak by checking it on a self repair site on the internet.  I felt the job was a little above my level of expertise so we called a plumber. 
Walter did only the work that was required and his price was astonishingly fair.  He is a licensed master plumber (we checked) who is self employed.  He did a great job and I would not hesitate to use him again or recommend his services.
