Within a few days of my inquiry they came out to my house to take measurements and they brought samples to choose from. Installation was done within a few weeks after that. Took away the old countertops and sinks. They know what they're doing. One of the installers was actually the owner and they were prompt and professional and cleaned up well."

"Everything went great! Zach and Rick installed a new "tank tee" - the old one was very corroded - and there's no more drip. They were both just very professional and prompt. To be honest, CZ came by twice without my even speaking to anyone. Chuck's son Rick stopped by Tuesday afternoon to check things out and then he and Zach came by Wednesday morning (Zach texted me about 15 minutes beforehand but I didn't hear the text) to do the job. Zach estimated about an hour but it took about half that. So different than typical experiences with tradespeople when you call them and they don't call back! And their rate was very reasonable - $79/hour plus $115 for parts. I'd gotten quotes from a couple of other plumbers that were just ridiculous! CZ did charge for $32 for gas but I was glad to pay it in light of the other rates I was quoted. They were also referred by my next-door neighbor, who'd used them more than once. I'm attaching a pic of the new plumbing; it does look as though some of the old pipe was left behind, although I think some of the corrosion was brushed off. "Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
