"After having 4 different companies come to my home, and explaining what I wanted done, I got tire of listening to what they wanted or where willing to do instead of what I needed and wanted done. I decided to call one more company and I am glad I did. Mr, Victor came within 2 days, took measurements , and most importantly, listened to me, and he let me talk while he was taking mental notes of every single detail. He explained his process, gave me a fair and transparent price, no BS like the others that wanted to charge extra if they found this, or that. I like the fact that he did not give me excuses for anything, this told me that he is a real professional and knows what he is doing, no job is too big for him, so I hired him. This was the best thing I have done in the last 5 years. In a matter of days, Mr. Victor returned with his crew, some of the nicest most respectful of your property people, and completed the work. My fence and gates are the most beautiful in my neighborhood."

"The work that was done at our house was more than exceptional. Charles knew the metal needed and the type of gate that we were looking to get installed. He was very easy to work with and made us feel that us as his customers were very much a priority. I will only recommend Charles Ornamental to others seeking welding work. Thank you Charles and your team in keeping your appointments and completing the work we needed for security and peace of mind!!"

"This service was for replacing an extension garage door spring for a single car garage door. They installed the spring and recommended to replace the rollers as well. Overall price was great and they did a wonderful job. The garage door runs quietly than before. I highly recommend these guys for the job. Thank you!"

"Wanted to take a long overdue moment to sing the praises of A Plus Exteriors LLC. Jairo and his team did a Top Notch job on my front paver parking pad, additional side walkway, and add-on pavers behind my house. They were prompt, professional, timely, extremely friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable! Neighbors stopped by to notice the work they did, and they even fulfilled a side project (small tree removal) request for one of my neighbors without impacting the timeline on my yard project. All of this, and at a fair price, too! Meant to post this last month when they first finished, but glad to say it now. I recommend Jairo (443-822-2228) and A Plus Exteriors LLC ([email protected]) for anyone with similar needs."

"All went super well. I am so impressed with their work. My house, sidewalk & driveway stands out even better since it all was power washed. It is like night and day. I received excellent and professional service. I will definitely hire this company again and refer them as well."

Driveway Gates questions, answered by experts

Security doors are not limited to standard sizes, and you can customize them to fit your needs and entryway dimensions. That's one of the fantastic things about security doors—they can be tailored to match your home. Keep in mind that a custom-sized security door will likely cost more than a standard size.

When building an outdoor or deck gate, it's crucial to use durable wood that can withstand harsh weather conditions like sunlight, rain, wind, and snow. Redwood and cedar are excellent choices as they naturally resist decay. While redwood is considered more elegant, cedar is a more affordable option. Other suitable woods include oak and pressure-treated pine, which is specifically treated to resist rot. Although some softwoods like pine are popular, untreated softwoods such as pine and spruce should generally be avoided for outdoor projects because they are susceptible to damage from water, rot, and the sun. Ultimately, it's wise to consider your local climate when selecting the right wood for your gate.

Locksmiths offer keyless entry systems, high-security locks, panic bars, electronic access control, and biometric security solutions.

This largely depends on the layout of your property and your preferred walking route to various entryways. Take your time figuring out the perfect spot for the gate to avoid difficulties later on. With all this said, the best place to put a gate is an area free from obstructions that offer the shortest route to your house.

The obvious disadvantage of an automatic gate is that it runs on electricity. If the power goes out, it won’t open or close unless there’s a manual override. Many homeowners will need a backup generator so they don’t get stuck on either side of the gate, particularly when looking to park a vehicle. Automatic gates are also much more complicated than manual gates, with tech-heavy components that make them more expensive to repair.
