We look forward to building long lasting relationships with the customers that we serve. We look forward to serving you. Call us today! You will not be disappointed.

"I hired East Coast Concrete LLC for a patio, wider sidewalks, a new driveway, and hedge tree removal. While the initial estimate process was smooth, the project quickly became frustrating. The company lost access to my contract and I had to repeatedly remind them of the agreed-upon work. The internet/cable lines were unnecessarily encased in concrete. The driveway was installed six inches higher than expected, leaving a recessed water main access that collects water and is now sealed shut. Concrete splatter is on my front door, side door, house siding and sidewalks. Despite multiple requests, I never received an invoice or contract after final payment. Communication was poor, and several aspects of the job were incomplete or ignored. I cannot recommend this company and strongly advise anyone considering them to get everything in writing up front and monitor the work closely."

Caulking Services questions, answered by experts

One advantage of a central vacuum system is that it can last for a very long time, especially when it’s well-maintained. You can expect a high-quality system to last at least 20 years. At this time, you may need to replace the main power unit, but the central vac system can continue functioning with new parts.

Before deciding whether or not to install a central vacuum system, consider the pros and cons to determine if it’s right for you.

Pros

  • Increased suction power

  • Improved air quality

  • Reduced noise pollution

  • Longer lifespan than traditional self-contained vacuum units

Cons

  • Higher upfront installation costs

  • Expensive repairs

  • Requires significant storage space

The best way to clean central vacuum pipes is to use a maintenance sheet to dislodge clogs and wipe the inside of the pipes clean. Alternatively, a professional can clean your central vacuum pipes for you.

The average cost for central vacuum cleaner repair is $310, though prices can range from $120 to $500. Your total cost will depend on the type of repair needed and the type of central vacuum you own.

A minor motor repair, like lubrication, only costs around $50. However, if you need to replace your motor, you’ll be looking at a much higher price tag with a total of $100 to $500. Other fixes, like electrical work, are charged by the hour, which ranges from $15 to $55 per hour.

Whether talking about a whole-house central vacuum or a portable vacuum cleaner, the expected cost of major repair work should always be balanced against its replacement cost. However, excluding high-cost motor replacements or major electrical trouble, repairs on a central vacuum system are typically far less than the cost of purchasing and installing a new one.
