"Mr. Thomas, Dwight and crew performed the level 2 chimney inspection (only/no sweep requested) and repaired the brick/masonry of the chimney, including repacing the flue liner and repair of the chimney box. They provided literature, kept me highly informed of status, arrival, appointments, and work progress. They also completed a beautiful job on my neighbor's chimney rebuild/replace. The work looks really great and it is apparent that Mr. Thomas, Dwight, and the masonry crew take pride in their workmanship and quality. The job was completed within 2 days and so far, everything is looks fantastic. Waiting for a cool day to crank up the fireplace. They also provided a professional lamination card and pen for reminders of next year's chimney sweep. I only slightly hit the value as I would have loved the inspection price to be part of the repair and the receipt, but overall, great experience, great A+ rating on BBB and both licensed and bonded. "Okay except for two things: (1) The cleaning only addressed the duct from outside; they refused to check the dryer duct hose from inside. We did not discuss this ahead of time because I assumed that was part of their service. (2) In addition to the $125 to clean the duct, they also charged me $110 for a metal cover to fit over the opening of the duct outside. When I asked them to identify this item so I could compare it with other similar covers, they said they couldn't do that. They said the high cost reflected a charge for removal of the old cover and installation of the new cover to the outside vent opening. When I asked why attaching the cover was so expensive, they compared the cost to what a car garage would charge to change your oil."
