Window security film won’t prevent break-ins or stop your window from shattering from impact during extreme weather like hurricanes or tornadoes. You can tint the windows in your house to about 50% or lower if you want the windows to boost your privacy. This tint will make your windows much darker, making it more difficult for people passing by to see inside your home. However, keep in mind that tints this dark can be thick, which may mean you lose out on any energy-efficiency benefits.
