"At first great. Meetings good. Demolition good. Some add on costs due to unforeseen damages. We were fine with the extra money. But then it got bad. The tiles and sink were installed completely crooked. It looked insane. The paint was very poor. Instruction not followed for a recessed cabinet and he said we never told him that. I found the email and my husband put a large piece of tape that said “recessed!” But he first informed me I would have to take the cabinet down re-patch, then re-install myself. I said I need the box to take it back and he didn’t have it. So he finally did what he was supposed to do after fighting it. He kept saying the walls were crooked which is why all of the items were crooked. He never asked once if we wanted him to fix the crooked walls. There was chipped tile installed which he did eventually fix. However there is crack in the porcelain tile where there is a crooked corner seam with a toe board that had to be added because the tile was not cut properly. He had to come out to fix caulking around window and tub. He was rude and condescending, especially to myself."

"Bolivar Painting Company recently painted our church auditorium. The scope of the work entailed drywall and ceiling repairs followed by two finish coats of paint, in addition to covering and safeguarding our pews and A/V equipment beforehand. From beginning to end, Luis Bolivar and his crew did an outstanding job and finished the work early and on-budget. Upon completion, they cleaned and vacuumed the auditorium to perfection. Painting over cracks without repairing them first will simply lead to needing to fix them later. They will reappear in short order. Usually, just a bit of spackle and a putty knife before painting will do the trick. However, if there are significant cracks, find the source of the problem and fix it before moving forward.

Priming over old exterior paint is fine if the original paint is not cracked, chipped, and peeling. When that is the case, you need to scrape it off and sand first. Primer improves adhesion, seals stains, and provides a consistent base for the new paint. It also enhances the paint's durability and helps achieve a more uniform finish.

Fiberglass bathtubs require paint that can withstand repeated exposure to water and humidity. Additionally, they require a high-strength epoxy coating to protect the paint from water. A few brands make appropriate paints, some in spray cans.

However, kits are the best choice because they come with everything you need (with instructions) to ensure a durable finish. These kits may require mixing the paint with a hardener that gives it the strength to withstand repeated water exposure. 

While it’s best to avoid exterior painting when it’s raining, you can still paint inside when the weather is wet. As long as the humidity and temperature inside your house are moderate enough to allow paint to dry properly and your room is properly ventilated, it’s perfectly fine to tackle an indoor painting project even if it’s raining cats and dogs outside.
