JR and his assistant were fantastic. They were prompt, highly competent, and did a great job for me. I thoroughly enjoyed talking with them and will certainly use them again.

JR and his assistant Rich, a retired policeman from the Bronx were the perfect mason Dixon team and all around nice guys. J R is very professional, knowledgible , and did a super and timely job. They also gave us great advice on other issues with our new house. We plan on using J R  for future projects. Give this great team a call . You'll be VERY satisfied.

We were charged $30 for the quote which we never received.  Several follow up phone calls have not been returned by JR Tubbs nor have we ever received the quote for the work requested.

I live 6 hours away from the property and was only planning to be there for two days.  I found Mr Tubbs on this list.  He immediately responded to my call, came the next day, gave me a fair estimate and completed the work within a week.  I trusted him enough to give him a key to the property.

He and his helper were as nice as could be. They are also good to have if you have any number of problems other then plumbing. He was the cheapest and did the best work out of any other plumber that I have hired. I hires a pluber in Fl. to fix a faucet and he was there for 10 minutes and charged me $185!!!!!!! I will hire Mr Tubbs if I need any other work done in a heartbeat!

J.R. responded to our request for pricing quickly and provided a fair price for his services. He did a completely fantastic job! We would certainly use his company again and we confidently recommend him to prospective customers.

J.R. has been our handyman for many years, long before Angie's List was around. Although he is a plumber he has done a number of other things like fix gutters. He is very down-to-earth, reliable and trustworthy.

Overall, this experience exceeded my expectations. I feel good knowing that I have someone that I can call.

I phoned J.R. Tubbs at around 6:30am after I discovered that I had no water and the temperature outside was well below freezing. He told me to turn off the water pump and water heater at the breaker box and said I would be first on his schedule and he arrived on time and went right to work determining the extent of the damage. The water pump was frozen and the pipes. He got the pipes unfrozen and re-primed the pump, made sure the pressure was good and sprayed foam insulation where it needed additional sealing on the pump house. He was here about 2 1/2 hours and there was no permanent damage to the pump or my pipes. He came and got right to work and I cannot say enough good things about J.R. and the work that he does. He has done other work for me and I will call him again in the future.

The original work order just called for installing new bathroom cabinets and vinyl flooring. We ended up recessing a wall and adding tile to the wall over the vanity. I was very pleased with his professionalism. He explained everything as he went along and brought to my attention any problems and we discussed the best way to handle it. I am having more work done and he will be the one doing it. I purchased the materials so the $1700.00 was his and his assistant's labor.

I had trouble getting contractors to come and do the work once they gave me an estimate or the estimates were WAY overpriced. Since I am a single female, I know when I am being high balled and don't appreciate it and will let other people know about it. J.R. Tubbs came in and told me what his rate was upfront and said it's the same for everyone, I checked him out and found the man is very true to his word, does excellent work and has looked out for me in the sense he is telling me the most cost efficient way of doing things....like my windows, I didn't know they could just drop in Pella windows in existing frames without all the crazy construction of pulling out old frames, etc. I have many more projects and I will only use J.R. Tubbs.
