"I contacted Bob to get a quote on getting security film and tinted film installed on several windows in my house. Bob was extremely responsive and came to give me a quote at a time that worked for me. The quote was very reasonable and we scheduled the install. I had to reschedule the night before the install and Bob was very understanding and we rescheduled with no issue. Michael came to do the install and did an outstanding job. He was very professional and put on all the film perfectly. One of the windows was tough as it was old, very large, and had a lot of panes. Michael left no mess and didn't damage any windows. No bubbles in the film, it sits on the window perfectly. I would highly recommend!"

"Everything went very well, from the estimate to the complete installation. Randy was very easy to work with, and was very efficient. He needed to replace some of the wood, once he removed the old skylight, and the work was done promptly and perfectly. He did not try to push products or services that were not required and cleaned up the work area completely. I will definitely be calling Reinforced Skylights when skylight #2 needs replacing as well. This time I won't waste so much time waiting on other companies to return my calls. My only regret is I didn't know they could have worked on the dry wall replacement as well. Let's start with the estimate.  I invited 3 companies to bid on replacing my roof.  Having absolutely no experience with anything major like this, I'm at the mercy of those I call.

Bidder #1 looks at my house, asks me the size of the house, does NOT go on the roof, and says $8500.00.  He wrote that on a piece of paper and gave me his business card.  I asked for one of his contracts which he gave me.

Bidder #3 looked at my house, asked me the size, did NOT go on the roof, and said I should replace the skylights.  He then calculated the number of "squares", which even with waste was off by at least 400 square feet.  (Math was one of my better subjects in school).  He then told me $18,500.00.  He wrote that on the back of a business card.  I did not ask for one of his contracts.  I knew I wasn't going to pay $18,500.00 for a roof.

Garner was bidder # 2.  Mike called and asked if it was OK to come over because he may be arriving a few minutes early.  I think that shows some class.  He got the ladder out and went on the roof.  He took a few photos, made a call or two about my skylight, and was up there measuring and walking around doing what must have been one very thorough review of my roof.

Once finished, he didn't give me an estimate.  He told me he would write it up and email it to me.  He did spend a good amount of time explaining what needed to be done, and how they would do it.  I got the estimate that night or the next morning.  The estimate was written on what is also their contract, and had estimates for doing the roof 2 ways.  I chose the higher of the 2 so I could take advantage of the "lifetime" warranty.

Over the next week or so I called Mike once and emailed him at least once to ask questions.  He got back to me quickly and answered my questions thoroughly.

I sent in my deposit.  Over the next few weeks, we had a ton of rain, and we were in the Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Year season.  I called on week 4 and asked when we would be scheduled.  Kenny called me back and gave me a tentative date of January 7.  He verified that in an email a couple of days later.  Of course that could change based on weather, but it all worked out.  The crew was there first thing in the morning on January 7 and completed the job in one day. 

After they completed the job, I ended up with a very nice looking roof, a new skylight that I like a lot more than the old one, a reasonably clean yard all completed by a very professional group of people.  From Mike the estimator to Kenny the supervisor, to the installers, all of them performed above expectations.

Roofing must be an interesting business.  I have a new roof with a lifetime guarantee.  I would use them again if I had the need, but there is a very good chance I will never have to call them again. 

So, I'll do the next best thing.  I will absolutely recommend Garner to anyone looking for the services they offer.

"Great work! Ben supplied pictures of the work in progress and explained everything that was being done which showed the roof being pulled back to the "studs" and then how they put the new roof on. They also replaced the skylight at no additional cost. I will definitely recommend them in the future!"

"This was a complete and positive experience in dealing with a contractor. Contacted JJs Roofing through the list along with 2 other companies. Had email and phone contact with the principals of each company and arranged for persons to come to the site to evaluate the project and make accurate measurements for a more detailed proposal. Within the same day of making the evaluations, I received 2 competitive bids to do the job. The third competitive bid was submitted sometime later after I committed to JJs and had the work completed! The scope of work was similar in all aspects and there was only a slight difference in the price. To their advantage, JJs proposed to do the job in 3 days while the other bids proposed 5 or 6 days. Because this is winter and the weather plays a huge factor in the roofing business, I opted for the 3-day make over where nice weather was predicted. In dealing with JJs owner John Johnston, he was helpful and extremely accommodating. He was mindful of my own circumstances of having to travel from out of town to be present during the project's work days. I was extremely grateful for this consideration. Once I accepted the JJs bid, a crew was sent back to the job site to remeasure for the replacements skylight and the access door. These are custom items so it is important to be accurate. The day of the job, JJs sent a crew led by Hector Ramos who along with another worker had done the preliminary evaluation. The men went about the job with speed, efficiency and care. The unusual break in the weather was great incentive for the men to work. After the first day, the old roof was torn off and general repairs to the underlying structure was begun and completed. The roof was covered with a tarp for the night. Day two, the men showed up promptly and continued their work. When I ventured to the roof top, Hector took the time to explain in great detail the entire process and timetable for the work. Because there where other elements involved beyond just laying down a new roof, I appreciated his explanations. I had a skylight replaced, a new roof access door installed, the relocation of the main drain and installation of a down spout, and the replacements of vent caps. The entire crew were courteous and extremely professional. By the end of the second day, I was sure I had made the right decision in choosing JJs. The final day and Hector assured me they would be finished on time and before the expected rains would come. I glanced at their progress throughout the day and saw the work completed on time. The men were extremely careful to clean everywhere debris landed in or around the work area on top and on the ground. When they left, the entire area was spotless! It was great having the highly skilled professionals from JJs Roofing working on this project. It is with high confidence that I recommend JJs Roofing for your roofing needs. "My husband and I had a lot of questions and discussion with Robert before we made the choice to go with K&R Roofmasters. Robert was very patient and thorough in his presentation of what his company does when replacing a roof and in explaining our options. After his initial presentation, we had many questions before making the decision. (We had a previous bad experience with a different contractor when trying to obtain a roof estimate, so we were overly cautious.) All our questions and concerns were met with patient explanations. Robert was the ONLY contractor that went in our attic to inspect the roof from the underside before giving us an estimate.  When we made the decision to use K&R, we felt pretty confident that we would be satisfied.
Our roof was way past its lifetime. It was "potato chip" condition and there were leaks. Because our budget was straining from making this purchase, we were concerned about what would be discovered under the old roof shingles. Unfortunately, a lot of pieces of plywood had rot in it and had to be replaced. Robert's team checked every piece of our roof for structural integrity so only the pieces which were actually damaged would be replaced. This helped to save us money rather than just telling us it all had to be redone. Robert never tried to pressure us into doing unnecessary work which we really appreciated.
The team Robert used was a group of nice, hard-working, respectful men; Robert supervised and did some of the hands-on work. Everything was cleaned up well and the end result is a very well done, attractive roof with a power fan to keep our attic cool to help protect the shingles so they will last longer. We have gone through an entire winter with snow, ice, wind, and lots of rain and there has not been one leak or problem with our roof. Robert told me several times if we have any issues, call and he will tend to it and I'm sure he will, if needed.
Also, anytime I called the office, I had respectful and kind staff members help me.
