"I absolutely loved working with this company. Alex was our designer and he knew exactly how to achieve the look that I wanted. The team working on the job site were hardworking, clean, professional and made sure that ask questions to ensure that my needs were met. For me customer service is a major part of any project and United Kitchen & Bath excelled in that area."

Small jobs welcome

"I highly recommend ANF kitchen and bath remodeling for a remodel project. ANF was extremely helpful in coming up with a design for our kitchen and dining area that met our familyâ s needs, better used the space, and was beautiful. They answered all of our questions about the process, the design, the cost, the schedule, etc. (and we had a lot!). And their responsiveness and helpfulness continued throughout the entire project: they provided helpful recommendations on products, quickly and effectively handled all issues that arose, and kept us informed of our options (e.g., they discovered there was not insulation in a part of our ceiling, the first quartz slab for the island had a small crack). They were flexible and accommodated our schedule, including scheduling some work on Saturdays that we would be out of town to minimize disruption to our life. All work was completed on schedule and exceeded our expectations. We would definitely use ANF again and highly recommend them!"

"My wife and I have had lots of work done in the home. ABC has been the highest quality and value company we have worked with. They are extremely honest and they back up their work. If there are any issues at all they come back and do what they need to satisfy the customer. Neighbors have used them as well and have the same experience."

Interior Design and Decorating questions, answered by experts

Mid-century modern design focused primarily on two things: simple, functional furniture, often with geometric shapes, and specific color palettes that included earth tones and what we’d today call retro colors. Furniture often blended different materials, like teak or oak wood, with vinyl, metal, and glass. Common mid-century modern paint colors included browns, reds, burnt oranges, yellows, aqua greens, and whites.

A certified kitchen designer (or CKD) is a certification given by the National Kitchen and Bath Association. These designers have completed the necessary hours of training and education to specialize in kitchens, and therefore understand the wide variety of project needs (like plumbing, electrical, appliances, and more). Most pros will make their certifications known on their website, but you can also ask during your search for a local kitchen designer.

To help the designer understand your vision, provide room dimensions, photos, and a list of needs or preferences.

Yes, many providers offer design consultations to ensure the furniture meets your needs and style preferences.

It’s unnecessary to tip holiday decorators, and most professionals won’t expect it, but it’s a nice gesture to show your appreciation for their work. If the expert goes above and beyond to keep your delicate decorations safe, or they’re hanging your exterior lights and putting out lawn decorations in freezing temperatures or inclement weather, a tip between 10% and 20% of your total will be appreciated. Large jobs that include interior and exterior work are also good opportunities to tip, especially if your expert is performing a rush job close to the holidays.
