"JES left my home in worse shape and will not return my calls to come repair the damage left. I reached out to them to install a joist support system under my kitchen so that I can renovate this year. There were floor joists under the back door that had been cut during a renovation about 30 years ago. JES installed a jack system but then left my foundation under the door where you can literally see daylight from the basement. I brought this up to the crew before they left late Friday night (they worked long hours just to ?finish? without even asking me if it was okay to trap me at home that late), and the lead just shrugged at me. Shortly after they left, it rained, and sure enough, water poured into my electrical room and all over the freshly poured concrete. I called Friday night, sent an email and text with videos, and called today 3 times. Each time the ?production manager? is ?busy.? "Oscar Carrenza is obviously busy, speaks rapidly, and this leads to numerous emails, texts, calls to have price, and measurements accurate and confusion resolved. Day of job, after assuring me no jackhammer would be used, a 'jackhammer- sounding' piece of equipment was used. Neighbors were upset in townhome cluster, no one was warned, all @7:15am. (Oscar had said he would "cut and lift sections of old sidewalk only. I stepped out to see how things looked, and realized the entryway concrete pad immediately outside my front door was damaged in several spots, with cracks and gaps. He started talking very fast, saying,"don't worry, I 'll fix that, make it pretty again!" Said he would return to fix. On return,became very loud, angry, lunged, shouting, red in face. The best solution to fix a foundation crack in your basement floor depends on the underlying cause. If you just have hairline cracks from settlements that are no longer growing, the best option is to seal them with a crack sealant. If the cracks continue to grow, one edge rises above the other, or there are signs that water is getting in through the crack, a professional repair will be necessary. Depending on the root cause, your professional may employ foundation underpinning or some other type of stabilization, seal the cracks, or install a drainage system.

Mix the resurfacer into a sticky mixture. The consistency should look like mashed potatoes. Use a squeegee to push the resurfacer across the pitted area and smoothen the surface with a cement trowel flush. Make sure you protect any expansion joints with a weather strip. Alternatively, cut out any resurfacer that touched the joint once the mixture begins to harden.

You can pour concrete over existing concrete and then stamp it to create an overlay. The old concrete must be prepared correctly for the new concrete to adhere properly and create a strong, stable surface. Stamping the new concrete creates a patterned finish that adds visual interest and an upscale feel.

You can pour concrete over a cracked driveway, but it’s important to address the underlying issue first. Pouring new concrete over cracks without fixing any structural problems may lead to more cracks reappearing.
