"Good Morning, I want to keep this simple. After two years of completing this project the customer had us install about 5-7k more of front walkways and such. If we did such a poor job why after a couple years did we come back and do another 5-7k of work. It makes no sense. The patio in question was installed two years before we did additional work at their home. It is a North side patio and it gets no sun. She complained and I gave her a Spray that gets rid of green growth that is common on North side patios after not getting sun at all. (the name) Spray and Forget. She said it worked great. After several more years. Years now. Not months. 2014 we are talking. Its 2020. I went and took a look on my own and saw the water runs away from the door. My mistake was I should have told them the warranty was up and left it at that. I think it is a really frustrated email that falls into the category of leave out the facts that do not help your criticism. I am not without fault. Anytime it makes this far I consider it a failure. But I will let our record speak. 16 years with over 30 Super Service Awards in that time. That is no accident. That is earned the hard way over time. One person can see things their way once in a while but nothing speaks like the volume and time it took us to earn those reviews. It is ALWAYS easier to fix a reasonable customers problem even though you may not have created it or it was not your fault. Even after warranty. Which is three years. That is a good rule. I stand by it."

"When I saw who the review was from I figured it was a good review like the rest. I have not heard from [Member Name Removed] Hiedel in a couple months. There has been no contact so I am seeing/hearing of this complaint for the first time. -This job was completed on 3/23/19 two months ago. - I have not heard from the customer since right after job. -has nothing to do with the quality of work. -customer does not mention any work that needs fixed. Nothing. First of all the water problem, the reason we were hired, is completely resolved. I am not sure how they are C's. I went by and the grass is perfect and there is no water problem. While doing the work we uncovered an improperly installed existing(from an another company)drain that was causing problems. It was not draining. We eliminated the drain at no cost and I told the customer I would bring a cap back when I was in the area. The cap was aesthetic only and in no way affected the performance of her drainage. The customer DID contact me about the cap. I was honest with her. I thought it had been done. When I she told it had not been done, I did so. Not a week later, not while she was at work(not sure). I went by the next day and put the cap on. Took 30 seconds. While I was there I checked the rest of the job. I walked around [Member Name Removed]'s back yard for 5 minutes. I was not told to talk to her/ check in. I put the cap on checked the rest of the work and moved on. There is no licence needed to perform drainage work although there probably should be. So I am not sure to what she refers. TO REVIEW; Water issues fixed completely. All punch out items completed Customer has not contacted DCI at all since with any issues DCI went by to check job after receiving this review and the job is great I am not sure why the poor review or the really aggressive attitude. What has changed in two months? Nothing So all work has been done and works well. She waits two months to say she had to call me to put on a cap I did the next day and then gives me poor grades in ALL categories. Thank God the water is fixed and the Lawn looks great."
"Done several projects with Mr.Ricketts. After this review we have done some Fall plantings as well. Enjoy working with Dan, he has a good idea what he wants and we take it from there. He is also very friendly with the crew and they with him. I am sure we will be doing more work with Dan."
"[Member Name Removed] was great. We met a year ago and I proposed some drainage remedies. A year later she contacted us to remedy her other drainage issues and perform other work. We went over the project in detail and we provided a simple sketch for plant layout. We agreed on the terms and we installed just like we discussed. We went over the job covering all work that was done and made any changes as necessary. We settled up. I will consider [Member Name Removed] to be a valued customer and will look forward to working together in the future."
"The customers had a very good idea of what they wanted. We tweaked the plan a little and agreed on a contract. They had a deadline, but they were very available to answer questions and make decisions quickly which was very helpful. We made reasonable changes along the way and completed the project with days to spare. The patio and other work turned out great. The customers were very active in helping make sure we had everything we needed to reach our goal and I consider them a major reason it went so well. When items were added the price was agreed upon. They were great with the contract and payment. I have since fixed a couple little items(sand in the screen door channel) and noticed the grass coming in very well as the customers are watering per the written aftercare instructions. Hope we can work together again."

"I went out several times to fix anything they wanted. When your Dog tears up the lights we will need a little time to get there. I could have been more responsive but the lighting problems were continual and they were service call and they did not want a bill. They had massive drainage problems that are now resolved."

"Really good customers. They are our neighbors(in same area)as well. They needed a designer to help with the landscaping. We met. They provided a rough budget and we went from there. They have deer and a very large space to manage/design. It was great. They made small concessions to stay on budget and the work was performed without a problem. I have gone back once or twice for plant replacements. Look forward to future jobs together."

"I really enjoyed working for The Barretts. They did very good research and knew in general what they wanted. I helped work out our elevation challenges and we installed without incident. Again the customer was reasonable and available to help with any decisions(subjective stuff) that needed to be made. We ended up putting in lighting and planting around patio. The neighbors had a patio put in a week later and we shined with pride in the obvious difference in planning, execution and cleanup for nearly the same price. The customer was obviously proud. as was I. Whatever the Barretts need...."
