"I had an addition I wanted for our home. We were required to have a survey and an engineer drawing to apply for the permit. I had a list of 10-15 local engineering companies given to me by the permitting office. Very few would return my call. several the rest said they only do commercial or that this was too small of a job and would cost more. It was taking months and I was frustrated and decided to try Angie’s. I am so pleased. I had a response that very day I inquired for the job. It was clear what was needed from me. Great communication and answered questions to help me get them what they needed. The project from start to finish was drafted within 3 weeks. It could have been done sooner but I was traveling and not able to check emails. Once I told them to text me to alert me of an email they did that. I would highly recommend them."

"I placed a notice on Angi that I desperately needed an architect. I was given a list of 5 companies, however Campbell Architects (CA) contacted me first. As a matter of fact, I do not recall any of the other companies reaching out to me. When I tell you that Johnathan Campbell stepped in and did what I needed him to do which was to draw a PLAT of my property, he also went above and beyond what one would expect someone as busy as him to do. He came in and recognized that in addition to needing a PLAT, I was also having a terrible time getting the work on my property completed because a hostile neighbor continuously contacted the DOB with false statements causing me to incur numerous Stop Work Orders. When I asked Mr. Campbell what his experience was with this sort of thing, he told me and then offered his help. What I found was a very thoughtful, quiet, and professional architect who had seen it all. Not only did he understand the situation with the neighbor, he also understood my plight with the DOB and set about methodically, and very carefully stepping in to argue my case for me. He has the experience, he has the knowledge, he has the patience and he is an established and well known architect in this area, and highly respected at the DOB. It took me six months to get a response from the DOB, but once Mr. Campbell stepped in, it only took one day. My point here is that the magnitude of an individual's professionalism, knowledge and capabilities is reflected in the work product and engagement experience you the homeowner will receive. Here, Mr. Campbell made a WORLD of difference in my life as a homeowner trying to do her best against a system of mostly men who know the system, who can be cavalier and do not really care that we the homeowners have become frustrated with DOB. Mr. Campbell is an ANGEL. If you ever need an architect, he is your guy. He is a no nonsense kind of man who really, really cares about people and understands that most homeowners are "no match" for the DOB machine that controls the movement of homeowners here in the DMV. I am so grateful to Angi for creating a platform where I could find Mr. Campbell. I honestly do not know if I could have survived my nightmare ordeal without his knowledge, strength and capabilities. I now consider him to be a friend. I was shocked that he was willing to help me with the crazy man next door, but he took all of that on. He has made a difference in my mental health and ability to complete the work that I started, which the neighbor constantly stopped. I feel that I got more than an architect when I met Mr. Campbell. "I came to Melissa & Bluehouse a number of years ago as I couldn't visualize the layout to accomplish my goals in what began as a kitchen remodel. Melissa's impeccable handling of my project from the word "go" is nothing but an understatement! Each and every detail I listed from want's & desires to fears & concerns were addressed. Living up to her word every step of the way, Melissa addressed my list while pointing out elements I hadn't thought of. When you consider who to hire, consider this, as a newswoman, I interview 3 people for every job, I don't cut corners and nothing gets swept under the rug. Melissa is THAT kind of pro! She is going to do right by you, because she knows what is at stake, and she is only going to put her name on something she stands behind. For that, and a million little reasons, without question, if I had another project, I'd hire her in a heartbeat!"

"The project included removing a sunroom addition from the house. We had items stolen from the house, complete lack of communication (including dropping workers off at the house and leaving them unsupervised on days scheduled as "no work" on the project calendar), and complete lack of detail to the finishing touches. The project also included work on a bathroom where pipes were left uncapped/dripping and the pipe access wall area not finished prior to installing the vanity. The entire project was a nightmare. "

"This job was done 10.5 years ago as of 2021. The finished product turned out great but its the behind the scenes experience that what unsatisfactory thus the three stars. Job was overpriced by comparison but we like to think you get what you pay for and C. Brook had lots of great reviews and seemed like a quality group. It took longer than expected but that comes with the territory. Punch list included lots of leaks in the porch roof and after many return visits and gutter alterations the water coming in staining the ceiling and bulk head where fixed. Recently ( 10.5 years after install ) we've had issues with the steps off of the back porch, deck boards and fascia boards coming loose. We called Mike and he came out to take a look. Most of the pressure treated joists used are completely water damaged. He explained it was partly due to the way they constructed it ( which they have since changed ) and that there is a warranty that can be used for the wood they sourced. Cedarbook wanted a very high price to do the repairs, ( compared to the other estimates we have obtained ) and told us that we had to handle all aspects of the warranty ourselves. A very disappointing response overall."

"I am not please with this company in multiple ways. But I will only address the management. Had my light switch replaced to newer white switches during kitchen remodel. Light were replaced, but the first day the switch was wired incorrectly. Mr Raul was very professional and replaced them and showed my son they worked but the same box was connected to my Reese light which were never turned on. So when I got home I turned on the Reese lighting and we heard a big boom. Of course I thought maybe the breaker went out and went to reset but the lights still didn't come on. So I sent a text to the team to inform them on the situation and asked Raul if he could send over a Master Electrician. The next Morning I received a call from Management they wouldn't be able to send someone out and it was technically my problem. I explained we just purchased the home and it went through a full inspection including error they found and fixed before we purchased the home. Also we had the VA do another ins"
