Jerry dug up and replaced the damaged sewer line in our front yard. The price was good compared to other quotes. We also hired them to come back and clean the interior of the remaining portion of the old iron sewer pipe. He and his team returned again afterwards to flush the debris from the cleaning process. He was very pleasant to work with, and we are happy with the results.

Terrific job! Fast, neat and reasonably priced. Scheduled really quickly, too. They had previously replaced a sewer line for us. This time it was a water line, which they did with only trenching at the two ends, then pulling the line through when pulling out the old. Will definitely use again for other projects.

Fantastic! Jerry and his team were very professional answering all of my questions and they did the rather large job of replacing my sewer and water pipes. This entitled digging a 10 foot trench and it took longer then anticipated due to intermittent rain. He charged a very reasonable price and the work done was excellent. Great. Began early. Ran into issues, but worked through it like a champ. Kept us informed throughout the process. Took care of the work area (protection on floors, walls, around personal items) and cleaned up thoroughly at the end of the job. Strongly recommend!

Part of the pipe was stuck and could not be pulled. The guys had to do an extra day of work to dig that out. Thank you for the exceptional service.

The main line French drains were successfully hydo-jetted and re-opened and a lot of debris, stones, etc. were flushed out the ends - the water flowed readily from each endpoint. Each roof gutter's downspout entry into the system was physically checked with a water hose and the entire system visually inspected with a camera system which showed exactly where a few spots of root infiltration were for subsequent removal. RE: service - Jerry answered his phone the very first time I called. He was able to get me on his schedule very quickly, arrived when he said he would, was very amenable to my questions and ideas. His partner was very friendly and a workaholic. They both knew their business, and communicated well - a rare treat these days.

The project went great, they unclogged it and sent a camera to make sure it's clear. He said there where roots in the pip and it had broken. He gave me an estimate to repair the pipe. Even though I am not using them for the repair, they where great.

Problem: Whenever I used the washing machine (which emptied into a laundry sink), water would enter the basement from several areas around the foundation. I suspected that a drain underneath the house was broken. I hired A-1 to diagnose and fix the problem. The project consisted of moving the washer and dryer, breaking through the concrete floor and replacing the broken pipe. When finished, they repaired the floor and reinstalled the appliances. I am very pleased with A-1 Trenchless. For the initial contact I left a message and soon received a return call. The team came out the next morning and used a camera to examine the main drain. They ran water to diagnose the problem and thoroughly explained the issue and the solution. Their efforts successfully solved the problem. Throughout the process they were professional, courteous and friendly. They explained each phase of the process and ensured that I was satisfied with the results. This was a very positive experience.

Jerry and his crew did a good job, despite several challenges along the way. They started with plan A and had to switch to plan B, but got the job done anyways. He accommodated all of my requests and let me hover around while they were working too! My yard was repaired better than others I have seen. Jerry and his crew were easy to work with and I would recommend them to others.

This vendor never contacted me as he agreed to do. I waited for him to come by and help me. He failed top follow through !

Jerry has superior equipment to other plumbers and, after trying to snake a clogged lateral, correctly diagnosed the problem -- the line had disconnected at the point where it exited the house underground. After we dug up the yard and replaced the faulty pipe, there was another clog further down the line. Our plumber was not responsive to diagnosing the problem there. Jerry quickly came out on 24 hours notice and again used his equipment to help identify the location of the problem and recommend a solution. If you want to make informed decisions on how to deal with complicated sewer problems, Jerry and A-1 Trenchless is probably your best bet in the DC area.

Job did not go well. They were not able to fully inspect the line. They left my sewer line leaking because they failed to properly re-attach the sewer cover.

Jerry and his assistant came and performed the work quickly and professionally. They answered all my questioned, made recommendations to prevent future root growth in the line, and cleaned up everything. Great job.

It went great. Jerry and his crew arrived on time, did an outstanding job, and cleaned up after themselves. Jerry noticed that a section of the pipe had bent down and replaced that as well. Great, showed up on time and would have finished in one day if County had showed up to do inspection. Everything back in working condition and would have never had known the work was completed with yard back to normal.

Jerry and crew came when we needed them, worked methodically, and (as far as I can tell so far) fixed our tree root problem by lining our 4" cast iron sewer line. Their camera and snake equipment were at least 1 click better than two other plumbers who gave me estimates and/or cleaned out earlier blockages.

This was a Big Deal for a video of my sewer line. The company wanted $75 more just to unscrew the access to the sewer line because it was old and rusted. I said no. I don't remember the deal saying they could charge extra for this. Maybe I missed it. They snaked my kitchen drain instead (something that I could have had done for about half the cost) and advised me to reroute the kitchen pipe to avoid clogs. They said they would send a proposal to do the rerouting. Never go it. Will not use this company again.

After my sewer backed up, my original plumber ran a power auger through the pipe and opened it up. I then agreed to have him bring a camera to examine the inside of the pipe for problems. He did that and identified a place in the pipe where the auger was catching which he said was probably a dip or break which was causing the stoppage. He then referred me to another company to dig up the pipe and repair the problem. I called that company and also several others to get bids on digging up the sewer line and repairing the problem. Most of them recommended replacing the entire line out to the street as the preferred solution. A1 Trenchless gave me the lowest bid of about $6,000 so I told them I would like them to do it. I also asked them to come out before the work was actually scheduled to check the pipe with their own camera. Jerry came out and spent well over an hour examining the inside of the pipe. He told me that about 20 feet of the pipe did not have the recommended slope but that the pipe was otherwise in good condition. He also told me that the pipe had probably been like that since the house was built over 50 years ago. Since this was the first time the sewer line had backed up during the 30 years I've owned the house, I decided not go ahead with the pipe replacement. I appreciated Jerry be straightforward with me even though that resulted in him not getting the job.

Initially I contacted Jerry on 12.12, which was over the weekend and explained in my email message that I had an emergency plumbing problem. When I didn't hear anything back on 12.15 I called and left a message and sent another email message through Angie's list. On 12.16 Jerry called me back and apologized for the delay explaining that they had been swamped with calls and that even though it was an emergency they could not get out to me until 12.17. Additionally, Jerry explained that my Angie's List coupon did not qualify for emergency services, which I understood. Jerry informed me that he was a small man operation and that was the reason why he was not able to respond to me nor come out until 5 days later. Normally 5 days to schedule an appointment would be fine for me but since it was a plumbing emergency (i.e., not able to flush toilets, sinks and showers overflowing, unable to run water without flooding in other parts of the house, etc.) 5 days was h***. However, I have to say that it was all worth it. Jerry and his coworker did what two plumbers over two days could not provide--a long lasting solution. He also provided me with a detailed explanation, work at a cheaper price, and all within a fraction of the time. Jerry and his colleague came on time, read the previous plumber's notes and began assessing the situation immediately. They both seemed knowledgeable and were quick to understand my complaints. After less than an hour and half of work, they located two clean outs, removed out my blockage, had me view the video, and explained to me the history of my pipelines with their skilled eyes. I've been told that their work has given me at least 6 months to a year without plumbing problems (I have a big tree growing right into my pipelines) from the City of Bowie and that they would be willing to come out and provide any additional replacement/repairs to my line in the future. Did I mention it was cold and rainy? They also put down drop cloth and wore booties when entering and exiting my home. I had the City of Bowie folks come shortly thereafter as was recommended to me by Jerry. Jim (the City of Bowie guy) mentioned Jerry by name and agreed with me how knowledgable and skilled he was from working on another job with him just a few weeks prior. If you are having plumbing problems, call Jerry!

About five days prior to me searching Angie's list, just after the big snow storm, my wife noticed that the basement toilet appeared to have overflowed a little. Upon inspection, I noticed that it had indeed but had receded. Flushing the upstairs toilet did not raise the level in the basement toilet but it did cause air bubbles to bubble up, indicating that while draining, we had an issue. That put the whole house on limited water usage; no dishwasher, super short showers, no laundry. Not a good situation. I searched AL and saw that A-1 Trenchless Services LLC was highly rated, close to my home and had a Big Deal. This is where A1 really rises to the cream of the crop. Before pulling the trigger, I called and emailed A1 and promptly heard back from Jerry. I explained the situation about the basement toilet and the air bubbles and said "It is draining but slowly" to which Jerry replied "It won't be for long". I asked whether it could be something other than what the big deal offered e.g., the main stack clogged with snow, and he said it really didn't sound like it. We agreed that I would pull the trigger on the sewer video inspection and cleaning Big Deal, which I did. I then followed up with a call and Jerry said it would be a couple days before he could get out there, so we limped along minimizing water utilization. I forgot to get an arrival time from Jerry, so it took another call. Each time I called Jerry to plan and schedule this work, he responded within a couple of hours...his communication was phenomenal! When the big day came, Jerry and Jamie arrived as planned and spent as much time as it took to sleuth and repair the issue. We started in the basement clean-out but that led us to an outside clean-out before the job was satisfactorily completed. Jamie was great as we had a heck of a time getting the camera line started and clearing the line. The problem was roots toward the end of the line, some 45 feet away from the house. Jerry and Jamie didn't leave until we had clear "after-cleaning" video of the entire lateral line showing us that there were no more obstructions or potential obstructions. Our line was installed in 1923, so there is a lot of terra cotta piping that will need addressing since we saw several areas where roots had invaded. So, we will need to address that. Jerry again was very honest and open about our options and quoted me a price for lining and another for digging up and replacing. This was one of my best experiences with any plumbing/sewer company and the A rating is well deserved. I can see why A-1 Trenchless Services LLC comes so highly rated. Honest work at an honest price with no up-selling or shortcutting. It was a lot of work which Jerry and Jamie completed and took several approaches and attempts.
