A full service property maintenance company specializing in Hardscape design and installation (interlocking pavers as well as natural stone), retaining walls, as well as landscaping and more. We are licensed, insured and always ensure a quality job to meet our customers needs and expectations. All patios are designed with SketchUp so we can convey our vision with our client clearly in 3D.

"While working on a fencing project for our neighbor, Campbell Cuts chose to drive their vehicles/heavy equipment into our backyard without asking permission over the course of several days. This resulted in a complete loss of our grass and the creation of a hard packed mud pit running the entire length of the fence line and extending out into our yard approximately 6ft (in some areas, even more). The area was covered in small rocks, small broken branches and truck ruts. Both we and our neighbor notified them of the matter. Their responses ranged from profanities, to denial, to saying they would "fix what they are responsible for". It's been over 4 weeks, and although we've had both rainy and dry days, they have done nothing. All we wanted was for them to rake up the rocks and branches, level and smooth out their truck ruts, aerate the packed down mud and cover the area with enough grass seed to restore our yard to its original condition. Apparently that was too much to ask. Although a company with this level of maturity/accountability is not worth any more of our time, it is our civic duty to share our experiences with others. Pics available. "

"Avoid this contractor at all costs. I hired Alex on 08/05/20 to build a deck in my property. Soon after, I made an initial payment of $3,562.50 per the contract. The county issued a permit for the project on 09/20/20 - and Alex and his team showed up days later to begin the project. I requested adjustments to the plan and Alex told me that there shouldn't be a problem submitting a revised permit application to the county. That in fact, the whole process should only take a few days, not weeks. As days turned into weeks, I reached out to Alex severally demanding to know the status of the application. Most times, he would blatantly ignore my calls, voicemails and text messages. On 11/27/20, I felt I needed to get in touch with the county myself, so I asked Alex to furnish me with the county's contact info. He ignored me. So I searched the internet for that information and after I found it, on 12/2/20, I reached out to Alex for confirmation. He, as usual, ignored me. On 12/7/20, I eventually wrote the county seeking to know what was going on - and they responded on 12/08/20 stating that the only deck permit for my property was issued on Sept. 20. This came as a big surprise to me as I was all along thinking that Alex submitted a revised application. I responded to the county immediately - copying Alexing and asking him to clarify the situation. He simply ignored the email. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau on 12/17/20 regarding this issue and Alex still has not responded."

FAQs for stone and gravel service projects in Elkton, MD

The average cost of a gravel driveway is about $1.25 to $2 per square foot, including the cost of materials, equipment, and professional installation. For example, a 16-by-30-foot driveway costs about $1,500. Cost factors include the type of gravel, how thick the gravel is installed, the condition of the landscape, and labor costs. Overall costs will vary depending on where you live and how accessible the job site is.

Because gravel moves, it requires different maintenance than asphalt or concrete. Here are a few maintenance tips for your gravel driveway. Every few years (or as often as needed):

  • Grade and level your driveway

  • Rake to fill holes and ruts

  • Compact any refilled potholes

  • Remove weeds with herbicide or by hand

  • Spray it with water to reduce the amount of dust kicked up

  • Avoid using a snowplow during winter months

A gravel driveway should last for up to 100 years with proper upkeep, which is minimal. Maintaining a gravel driveway includes grading and adding fresh gravel to fill in potholes. Otherwise, a gravel driveway holds up well to all kinds of weather. Plowing in the winter can be challenging and the gravel can develop ruts or potholes that need to be repaired, but the cost and longevity of gravel compared to concrete, asphalt, and pavers makes gravel an economical option, especially for long and/or wide driveways.

A gravel driveway should be at least 4 to 6 inches deep, depending on the soil it’s installed on. Softer soil that doesn’t drain well should have a deeper gravel driveway. Deeper gravel will mean you spend more on materials and labor, but you’ll get a more stable driveway and avoid damage that needs to be filled or graded flat again.
