"Very knowledgeable guy who seem to know what he’s doing. Don’t know results of spraying. Have had much rain since. Will have to see if it worked. Terminex will spray again the beginning of next month."
"Keith was very professional at doing his job and also very knowledgeable with his profession. My wife and I are very happy that he was able to remove the bird Ness safely and securely. Highly recommend his services."
"The technician was very knowledgeable, honest and friendly. He explained the problem, proposed how to fix it and did the work immediately. I had received an estimate from another company that told me my chimney had structural issues and needed to be rebuilt and re-sealed at a cost of several thousand dollars more than I paid. I highly recommend Classic Chimney."
"I was told they would be there at about 8am. I was coming to Baltimore from DC and was not sure I could make it by 8am. They had the combo to my key box to get in, and I left extensive notes so they could get started before I arrived if I was late. As it turned out, traffic was light and I was there at 7:45 am. But the painters did not arrive til 9:30. I was just about to leave, thought I had been stood up, when they arrived. I had bought the Angie's list "2 painters for 8 hours" coupon, but really only got 7 hours. Kargmans reaction to that is that since it was an Angie's list coupon, they could not refund any money. Since they did not finish, did no woodwork, only the walls and ceilings, I need them to come back. I am not even sure I will get the same workers, who know exactly what they did and did not do. All Kargmans said they could do was add another hour on to my new coupon. I am not sure there is a full 8 hours worth of work to be done, let alone 9 hours. And if I hadn't needed them back or chose to use someone else, I would have just been short changed. They had to stop when they did, since the sun was setting, the light was not good for painting. Besides the scheduling issue, and short changed on hours I had already paid for, they did very good work and were quick. If they hadn't been, I probably would have gotten someone else to complete the job. I did not appreciate them showing up 1 1/2 hours late, with absolutely no call informing me when they would show up (I was told they would call when they were on their way). Coming so late then shortened their day. There are only 9:31 hours of daylight now and the sun rises at 7:25. There are no lights in the rooms being painted, so it has to be a daytime activity. As the sun comes up and sets, lighting for painting is not very good (so even if there is 9hrs of work left, it will be hard to fit in 9 hours of painting}. I suppose they can stretch any work for 9 hours if need be, and all the money has apparently gone to Angie's list and is not controlled by them (seems odd). I just hope I can come back after they finish and revise this review. Even though the work quality seems pretty good, customer service is extremely disappointing. (PS: As they were finishing and were not complete, I tried to call the office to find out when the work could be finished, could these same workers come back to finish the job they had started. This was about 4:20, the office was already closed. Angie's list says they close at 4:30. The message I got when calling, states they are closed at 4pm. They give an emergency # to call. Upon calling that emergency #, you get a message that in case of an emergency call the office #. Thus there is no emergency #. Messages I left at both #s were not returned.) "
"It went pretty well. They actually found a bird in the chimney, so that was helpful. I'd use them again if I needed. They were nice enough and answered all my questions."
"The work was excellent. I like the final outcome. You need to find out if he's overextended or how many jobs he's involved in at the time. We started the project in May and it should have taken six to eight weeks and we just finished it at the end of September. There were some glitches along the way that were probably out of his control, but a lot of it was more that he was overextended. The quality was good. I would maybe use them in the future. The work was good, but we would really have to negotiate what was going on and the time window and stuff like that. We wouldn't do this again. I would consider it."
"They did a great job. They solved all the problems I had with the chimney and it’s been working perfectly ever since. They also fixed a problem on the roof around the chimney; they replaced the wood around the chimney with a material that would never rot, so they fixed it even better than it was before. It took them a couple of days to do the work. They took care of all the cleanup as well. We've been real happy with them."
Pest control timelines depend on what services are being provided, size and type of infestation, and size of your home. Some inspections can take an hour or more, while preventative treatments only take 30 minutes to complete. Basic spaying for a problem like roaches or termites can take about an hour for small homes, but much longer for large properties and infestations. Consult your pest control pro for a time estimate based on your situation.
Depending on the size of your home and accessibility, expect professional pest inspections to take between 30 and 60 minutes. If you have a large property or limited accessibility, pest inspections may take longer.
They can have a deterrent effect on birds to some extent. The reflective surfaces of these objects, such as aluminum foil strips, CDs, or reflective tape, create flashes of light and movement that can startle or confuse birds temporarily. However, some birds can become accustomed to these visual disturbances over time and might adapt their behavior accordingly. For a more sustained solution, combining shiny objects with other deterrent methods shared here is often beneficial for creating a more comprehensive and effective strategy for bird control.
Finding a dead bat in your home can be frightening, even during spooky season. The United States Department of Interior states that if you find a dead bat, take these steps:
Photograph the bat safely to help the wildlife agency determine the species
Use disposable gloves to place the bat into a plastic bag, making sure to spray with disinfectant and close the bag securely
Thoroughly clean your hands and any clothing that came into contact with the bat
If you see one dead bat, you might have a large bat infestation that needs to be treated immediately. Call a local pest control company to properly inspect your home for other bats.
Legal considerations include adherence to local and federal wildlife protection laws, particularly for species that might be protected or endangered.
