"Daryl and his crew were very respectful and always let us know when they would be coming to our home to work. The estimate and contract we signed was right in line with what we expected the project to cost. During the demolition phase, we decided that we wanted to replace the subfloor after the old wood floor was pulled up, and Daryl and his crew performed the arduous process without an issue. After the demolition phase, the plumbing and electrical work was roughed in quickly to allow the Sheetrock work on the ceiling and walls to move ahead on time. The wood floor and custom cabinets were set ahead of schedule, including all of the cabinet crown molding and custom islands. The granite countertops were set a week after they were measured and the backsplash was tiled soon after that, with care being taken to lay out the unique accent tiles above the range to look better than we expected. Time was taken at the end of the day to make sure we had a safe place for our animals and kids to come home to even though the first floor was a construction zone. For the entire project, Daryl used the best quality materials and building techniques to ensure that we would end up with the best finished product."

"Dannie came to our home in August and gave us a verbal estimate on the job; he never gave us a written estimate which I believe could have prevented the misunderstanding about what the price included. He was not able to start the job in a timely fashion because he was involved in another job and the homeowner kept adding projects which kept pushing our job back. When Dannie started the job, he re-laminated our kitchen countertop and he did an EXCELLENT job! He also installed a new stainless steel kitchen sink which turned out to be the wrong one which had been shipped by the supplier (not his fault). This complicated the whole project and ended up increasing the price...again not his fault. Dannie was pleasant and stood behind his work but I felt that he needed to be more detail oriented. I had to call his attention to several things for him to resolve them.

I originally gave this service experience an excellent review because I had a difficult time finding someone who would do this repair, and at first the sink appeared to be repaired, but it actually got worse. The sink had come loose from the granite countertop after almost 10 years and was hanging by loose clips.  The original granite company is no longer in the area, and I tried several plumbers and granite contractors, but they said they did not do this type of repair.  I checked first to make sure Myriad would be able to do this and then bought the 2 hour $99 deal.  The worker even went to the home improvement store to try to find the same clips, and couldn't find them, but said he got something else that would work. He said that it would eventually need new clips and that he could come back and redo it with the new clips, but that it would be OK for me to use the sink after 24 hours.  I avoided use for several days (I have another sink in my kitchen that I have been using) and then started very light use, but after 2 days the whole sink fell away from the counter and was just held somewhat in place by the drain. I was able to catch it and drain the water out without a major mess.   When we looked at it, there was still old sealer and grout mixed with patchy new seal and grout, and no type of clips at all.  I did email the company and they were apologetic, stating that I would probably have to get a specialist to do the repair. Fortunately I was able to find a granite countertop specialist who was able to clean it up, use the old clips, and place an additional support in about an hour and a half. 

So I took the chance with the $99 special, but now realize that some jobs do require more specialized servicemen.  My husband is my best handyman, and I have learned that if he can't do it, I need to get a pro.

The project entailed wallpaper removal from 2.5 bathrooms and kitchen, repainting those rooms; installing a tile backsplash and vinyl tile floor in the kitchen; replacing the kitchen countertop; repairing a cabinet; repairing drywall and painting the ceiling in the master bedroom. The owner came out to do the estimate himself. He was accommodating when I wanted to expand the scope of the initial project and came out a second time to give me an updated estimate. He was easy to reach via cell or email. The estimate was more than fair. His crew completed the job in three days. The crew was polite, professional, and did a good job cleaning up at the end of each work day. I highly recommend this company and would use them again."
