Small jobs welcome

"John was very reliable and professional. I feel his prices are very reasonable compared to other contractors. Did an excellent job and took all the old parts away. I would definitely hire him again."

"Keith and his crew did an excellent job. They got the permit from PG County to do all the electrical work, mind you on one of the hottest days of the year!!! Green Wave completed every item on the list from the buyers punchlist. GreenWave set up the PG County inspection, which passed, of course. GreenWave set up the appointment for PEPCO to complete hook-up part. Keith’s crew did an exceptional job! They also did a change order for me-ventilating (2) exhaust fans, in my upstairs bathrooms! GreenWave did the work at a very reasonable price, they made sure everything was done and complete and working. I would hire GreenWave again for any of my future electrical needs. GREAT COMPANY!!!!?????? Beverly K"

"From start to finish, which only took less than 24 hours, he came and assessed the problem, went to Baltimore and got the part and installed it! Couldn't ask for or expect better service. We highly recommend this business."

"Had a great experience with Gutter Ethics. Called them last minute before Hurricane Florence was expected to pass by our area. Our house had gutter guards installed by previous owners, the guards were not functioning correctly and were actually blocking the gutters and weighing them down. I explained the citation to Justin the owner, he fully understood the danger of tremendous amounts of rain on blocked gutters, and despite being fully booked he accepted to add our house to their list without charging us emergency or last minute fees. The very next day the guys showed up early, they cleaned the gutter and down sprouts, bagged all debris and fixed the loose areas of gutter to house. Very courteous and professional guys and did a superb job. Highly recommend Gutter ethics, I know we will hire them again."

"Jorge Lazo and his crew came in and painted 5 bedrooms, our master bathroom plus a large closet, ALL IN ONE DAY. They were punctual, in fact they were a little early, which is always very nice.  They were professional and very tidy. Jorge and his team did a great job in our home and I will definitely use them again when we paint the outside of our house. If you are looking for a painter who is reasonably priced, professional, punctual and very good at what he does, then I highly recommend Jorge Lazo.

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

Selection relies on matching fan size and power to attic volume and ensuring compatibility with home electrical systems and ventilation requirements.

There are many types of ceiling fans available, each designed for different spaces and needs. Standard ceiling fans are the most common type and work well in most rooms. Low-profile ceiling fans are better suited for rooms with low ceilings. Smart ceiling fans can be controlled with a smartphone or voice commands. For larger spaces with ceilings between 10 and 25 feet high, large ceiling fans are ideal. Dual-motor fans have two motors to produce more airflow in multiple directions. You can also find energy-efficient or Energy-Star models that can be up to 60% more efficient, as well as fans with built-in lights or retractable blades.

Whole-house fans cost significantly less to run than a window AC unit. You'll pay an average of $0.01 and $0.05 per hour to run a whole-house fan compared to $0.06 to $0.88 per hour for the cost to run a window AC, depending on its size and the size of your home. They also use far less electricity than traditional central AC units.

Identifying the source of noises is your first step to soundproofing a room without overspending. Generally, sound comes from inside or outside of the house. Inside noises include creaking floors, living noises like TVs in the living room, cooking sounds, or kids being kids. External noises generally include incremental weather, disturbing neighbors, and street traffic. Inside noises require you to soundproof floors, ceilings, and doors, whereas outside noises may require you to soundproof your attic, windows, and walls facing the streets.

WD-40 in its liquid or aerosol form is highly flammable. Using it around live electrical parts, such as a bath fan, can generate fire and a dangerous condition. However, if you follow proper safety procedures, including disconnecting the power to the fan before working on it, WD-40 can help remove some of the grime that builds up in your bath fan.
