"Basement Remodeling just completed our basement remodeling project, on time and on budget. We couldn’t be more pleased! We investigated other remodeling companies but chose Basement Remodeling after our discussions with Eric, in part because we believed we could count on their expertise in handling the inevitable quirks of renovating a 70 year old house. Our project (and budget) was probably fairly modest when compared to many remodeling projects, and Eric offered suggestions for inexpensive problem solving (rehanging existing doors, for example) rather than trying to upsell us on other, more costly solutions. We fully renovated about one-third of the basement space which included the furnace, water heater and a small but completely unfinished laundry area. Basement Remodeling created an enclosed area for the furnace and water heater and neatly disguised the electric panel, adding a well-designed, efficient and attractive wet bar with cabinetry, appliances and a custom pantry. The renovation also included cosmetic upgrades to the rest of the basement space, adding new flooring and fresh paint. The space now looks absolutely terrific! The company took care of everything, from permitting to cleanup, and every person on the team was thoughtful, responsive and a pleasure to work with. Any concerns we had along the way were addressed immediately and quickly resolved to our satisfaction. We highly recommend Basement Remodeling!"

They did an outstanding job from conception through to the last details in finishing an extensive series of renovations - complete kitchen tear-down and renovation, master bathroom and closet teardown and renovation, two bathroom complete retiling/renovation, building two new rooms out of a very large basement, and replacing two forced air HVAC systems - they managed all aspects including proper construction permits. They did high-quality work at a very good price. They did an outstanding job with the work, with high attention to detail. Their communication was very strong from beginning to finish, their initial plan recommendations were excellent, they made several recommendations to not only make the job better, but also make it more cost effective along the way. They were reliable and consistent, and very genuine, "real" people. I have to imagine there will be very high demand for their services. I can’t recommend highly enough. "I had such a great team working on my home. Every project was completed exactly how I requested and done timely. The most important factor for me was how they cleaned up after themselves after every job. Also, the constant communication. The work is definitely quality. I did everything in phases just to get a feel of their work. I had electrical and painting done in my office and mudroom. I later decided to hire them to complete some electrical, painting, gym, and storage built out in my basement. I am saving up for the full bathroom I want done in my basement. Will definitely hire them again."

"I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with the recent retaining wall replacement project completed by John Krause Construction (JKC) at my property. After reading positive reviews and receiving an estimate that, although over my budget, seemed reasonable for the work involved, I made the decision to hire JKC. Unfortunately, this has proven to be a significant mistake, and I am left extremely disappointed with both the quality of work and the overall experience. Here are the main issues I encountered: 1. Unprofessional Behavior: The crew exhibited unacceptable behavior while working on my property. Not only did I witness them disposing of bodily fluids on-site, but they were also disrespectful and dismissive. when I raised concerns no response was received. I now smell urine when entering and exiting my garage. 2. Unresponsive Ownership: I have attempted to reach out to the owner multiple times to address these concerns and resolve the issues, but my messages have been met with silence. This lack of communication is incredibly frustrating and has only added to my disappointment. The owner refused to speak on the phone since the owner was made aware of the call being recorded. 3. Property Damage: During the construction process, my property was left damaged in multiple areas. This included e.g., landscaping destruction, equipment damage. Personal crew members vehicles being driven through my yard leaving deep tire marks damage. 4. Subpar Quality of Work: Despite the high cost of the project, the final result does not meet the standards outlined in the estimate or contract. No proper grading was completed. Every time it rains pools of water sits in front and behind the wall. The response received was. “we have passed all inspections.  There will be some water pooling while it is settling still. Plus the fact of the hard rain today, it will happen.” The wall has been completed for 2 months. Given the extensive problems, stress and anxiety I have faced. I do not recommend John Krause Construction."
