"I am a first time home-buyer and very new to the entire experience of renovating and remodeling. Chris and his team were exceptionally honest and patient in their explanation of projects and proposals. Their pricing was better than the other two estimates that we obtained, and his attentiveness to our designs was flawless. Chris and his team have done an exceptional job with our kitchen. It literally looks like a completely different house. The granite counter tops were installed flawlessly, and are such great quality for the price we paid. What really stands out is his team's willingness to fill in the gaps and help with parts of the kitchen that I didn't even know needed to be done: like when we had them install the double wall oven. I didn't know that there would be a huge gap to fill, and they filled it in with the same type of wood exactly. They don't cut corners at all and they make sure that the entire project is flawless. Although the project took a little longer than anticipated (because we caught them right at busy season) the work was well worth the wait. They installed our beautiful new sink and plumbing with no problems, and the granite is just exquisite. The centerpiece of our kitchen, the new island, is breathtaking. They installed a cook top and electrical outlet and completely customized it to our liking. We will definitely be consulting them for future jobs, and have already referred them to friends looking for work done too."

"I contracted Romero’s to apply stucco to the exterior of my cinder block foundation and to reconstruct a retaining wall. Expert job and I highly recommend their work."
"Goode painting did an amazing job! Our family has been using them for years, and can’t recommend them enough! Their pricing is always extremely fair and the quality of work is always A+"
"Mr. DiFatta's crew did a fantastic job! The foundation under the front porch had crumbled away after the harsh winter we just had. The fact that the house is about 100 years old didn't help either. They removed all the compromised parge coat and redid the entire foundation in a smooth coat of beautiful, clean light gray concrete. They also placed a barrier of soil / clay mix around the perimeter to move water away from the foundation. Considering all the work they did, and how beautifully it turned out, the price was a bargain. Especially given that Mr. DiFatta is so highly rated on Angie's List and so highly regarded by other contractors. I called my waterproofer (also fabulous - Bryan Waterproofing) for a recommendation, and Robin (the owner) asked "Did you call DiFatta?" That, to me, is saying something. And he had the best price of all the others! This is definitely my go to contactor for any future concrete needs. HIGHLY recommended."
"It went very well. Anthony and his crew were very professional, courteous and attentive to details. The crew arrived on schedule everyday. I so enjoyed working with the crew that on three days I bought coffee and bread for them in the early mornings. The entire job took about six days (there were some rain delays). My row house in upper NW DC is 87 years old, and now it is easily the most attractive home from the curb on my block. They did an excellent job scraping, priming and then repainting the front Tudor wood beams (a dark chocolate brown), repairing and repainting the stucco (white), caulking windows, and repainting iron handrails. The chocolate brown wood now pops on the newly painted white stucco. Anthony Barrera was always desiring to make me satisfied. Proof of this is that Anthony has offered to do one more small indoor painting job for FREE, just to makeup for one occasion when he wasn't able to meet an agreed to appointment. I told him this is very kind of him, and it's great customer service. They did a great job all around, and I'd happily work with them again."
"I hired this company based on reviews from Angie's list. My experience was a bit different than the A + rating they had. The answered my call for a quote and arrived on time. The communicated in Spanish about everything. We all walked the house together and I pointed out everything that needed painting. We had a discussion about the master bath, the last words I heard George senior tell me was "we can fix this". They quoted me a price of $3400.00 and said if I got everything done at once, he would take $200.00 off. I didn't get other quotes because I just moved in and time was a factor, so I can't really comment on price. During the week, they dropped of a large paint sample thing to make may choices from. They arrived early to start the two-day job, a Friday and a Saturday. They finished the job on Saturday, as promised. My master bath was not painted, the wood on the steps was not painted, they removed all the drapery hardware and it was tossed out apparently, they took a blind down in the master bedroom and I had to remind many times for them to fix it, they did with crazy glue. The walls and ceiling are beautiful but the trim is horrible. I am still painting over spots that were missed or the paint was wiped off when they cleaned the floors. There was a quarter sized drop of paint on my maple dining room table. There was a large spot of white trim paint on the colored wall in the hall, but worst of all I continue to clean small spots and areas where there is white paint on the oak floors. They did do me one favor and lift a TV back up above the fireplace that had been taken down for painting. They did leave all the extra paint in the basement, one bucket not closed and has a paint roller floating in it. The worst thing was them teasing my dogs and getting them agitated and pushing each other towards them and laughing. Overall, I don't think I had an "A" experience. Unfortunately I would not recommend them or use them again. "
"George and Tom did a great job and were a delight to work with. They power washed all the siding first ,which was really needed but not expected. George responded to all my requests in a timely manner, and was always polite. He even did some small areas that weren't in the contract. I would highly recommend them. "
Masonry screws are the best option to be used on stucco. They’re thicker and made to penetrate harder surfaces like concrete and cinder blocks. Fluted masonry screws work the best because they create a stronger grasp thanks to the lines on their shafts. If you’re working on exterior stucco, use galvanized screws to prevent corrosion.
It typically takes around 30 to 60 minutes for a window pro to replace one window in standard siding types, but a window in stucco will likely take a bit longer because of the density of materials. Custom architectural windows usually require a longer replacement process because of the additional fitting and securing required.
Cracks, discoloration, and moisture intrusion often indicate necessary repairs.
Properly maintained stucco can enhance insulation, reducing energy loss.
Yes, professionals can color-match new or repaired stucco to existing finishes to ensure a seamless and uniform appearance. While most providers offer this service, it is recommended to confirm with them beforehand.
