Interior and exterior painting of 2 homes. George was very knowledgeable and meticulous with all the prep work that needed to be done prior to painting. Worked clean and neat. Advised me on colors and types of paint. Stayed well within time frame. I would recommend.

The guys from Pintail painting were very professional and showed up right on time. After a short conversation with George I was very confident I was gonna get a great paint job on my kitchen. And as it turned out, I was very pleased with the paint job . I looked up and down the walls and couldn't find a blemish and most importantly there was no paint on any of my cabinets or countertops :).. I would certainly hire them again in the future.

Giving a farmhouse estate circa 1842 a fresh renovation and quality paint job required a combination of old school workmanship and current technology. The family owned and operated two generation crew of Pintail Painting was the absolute best choice possible for this project. The main farmhouse required tender loving care as 160 years of multiple paint layers were skillfully and gradually taken down to the original siding. Necessary woodworking repairs were completed by the Village Carpenter and the patching and painting were artfully completed by Pintail Painting. The end product was nothing shy of magnificent. Their strong work ethic and expertise, combined with many years of masterful painting experience made this project a huge success. This project had been postponed year after year to properly budget and select the right crew to complete this project. The working cooperation of a Master Carpenter from the Village Carpenter and outstanding painters from Pintail Painting completed this project through every square-foot of the estate. The pictures do not do justice to the quality workmanship that went into this project. Not only is Pintail Painting highly recommended, they are a versatile Contractor to handle exterior, interior, covered areas, and any other project worthy of taking fresh paint too. Although this project represented every extreme, the professionals at Pintail Painting stuck to their estimate, stayed on budget, and consistently maintained a level of communication worthy of their reputation. Of great concern for this project was the EPA certification and job site safety standards maintained for all of the lead based restoration. Working areas were draped, tarped, and vacuumed clean daily even on the roof surfaces, gutters, ground surface, and all of the leaded debris was accounted for and properly hauled away in compliance with the EPA guidelines and restrictions. We could not of hope for a more professional, cost-efficient, and more personable company for all of our painting projects. They completed the extreme gable and rooftop painting, all sides to the farmhouse on the estate, porch columns and railings, covered porch surfaces, deck work, shutters, 160-year-old woodworking was handled with extreme care and masterful preservation by the Village Carpenter. On a side note, windows were replaced, interior painting was completed, and at the end of every day, the job site was clean and prepared for the next day of the project. There simply is no other choice for a consumer wanting a quality, old-school strong work ethic and masterful skill level painting job completed per your request, at your direction, and at a cost qualifying every dollar spent. We will undoubtedly be using this fine company again and again and cannot offer any higher recommendation for their services. Interestingly enough, they shared that they will consider any size project. They will do small projects, or even tackle the exterior and interior of a 6000 ft.² farmhouse estate like this 1842 landmark. You'll find no better. George and Tom did a great job and were a delight to work with. They power washed all the siding first ,which was really needed but not expected. George responded to all my requests in a timely manner,and was always polite. He even did some small areas that weren't in the contract. I would highly recommend them.

Pretty well.  Finished product looks good.  The only problem was that the powerwashed was on too strong a setting at first and a 3 ft. long gash was dug into the cedar siding.  They did a fair job of repairing it.

The response from Angelo was extremely good.  He came to give me an estimate within a very short time of my initial call to the company; then scheduled the job itself within a very short time.  He personally was involved in the job and ensured that everything was done to my satisfaction.  He was punctual and made sure to call me to confirm the steps in the process.
In the end, he also painted a bench that was on the front porch even though it was not written into the contract.
He demonstrated pride in his work and the company and a sincere desire to satisfy me and my husband with the work.
We are very happy with the end result!

The paint job was excellent all around. Angelo provided a quote on the spot that was the most competitive.  Angelo was the only bidder that would also replace some rotted trim on my chimney at a reasonable cost (one bidder wouldn't do it, the other wanted over $1000 more).  Angelo's crew were extremely professional and punctual.  The attention to detail was first rate.  The light carpentry was satisfactory.  An I recommend Pintail for whole house painting without reservation.

We needed hour house painted exteriorly, an old colonial house in Roland Park. It was starting to chip and we had spot with meldew all over. Last paint job was done about 8 years ago and it really needed a fresh hand of paint. 
I found Angelo's company on Anglies list because the company we used previously didn't do a very good job. Angelo was very professional and on time on his first estimate appointment. 
They power wash the entire exterior, sanded it, did repair where it needed and worked in a clean systematic way for an entire month. Theye were so thorough and neat that by the end of each working day you couldn't tell there was any workers at my place. 
they started on time every single day and when the weather was bad they came anyway and tried to work in areas (porch and or inside where the rain didn't matter)
They are incredible painters, with attention to details a trait very hard to find now days ... not surprisingly they are originally from Greece, Old world perfectionism. 
They were always neat, smiling and so very helpful at any of our request
The total cost was also very reasonable and very honest. 
It was a pleasure to have Tom and George work on our house, they used the same care one uses on its own house. We will use them again and again for any painting job we might need in the future. 
Over the 10 years of being a owner of an old house I used a lot of company for fixing and remodelling...none exceded my expectation. 
Angelo, Tom and George did that delivering a superb result. My house is like new now and we are incredibly happy.

Angelo and Thomas were neat and thorough.  They were punctual and
efficient and very reasonably priced.  Their work looks great. We would definitely use them again.

I have a 90 year old house with a wooden screened in front porch. The previous painters had not prepared the porch well nor used quality paint. As a result, the columns were pealing down to bare wood and the porch was a general mess. Angelo power washed the porch and front foundation walls, scraped down the old paint and did a beautiful job repainting. He came when he said he would and was very efficient and clean. He guaranteed his work for a year and when my porch furniture pealed up some areas because it was too heavy to put on too fresh paint, Angelo came back and patched it up. I would highly recommend Angelo and will certainly use his services again.

It was an outstanding job.  They were courteous, professional, affordable, and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the job.  Everything looks amazing.  They were by far the most affordable painting contractor that I interviewed, and I interviewed 6 different companies.  Why on Earth there is such significant difference among companies makes you wonder who is actually ripping you off.  Conversely, when a company comes in with a low price, you wonder if they are cutting corners.  I can absolutely say that is not the case with Pintail Painters.  As I mentioned above, they painted trim just to make sure everything matched, and it was not part of the estimate they provided.  
I could not be more happy with the work.  EVERYONE comments on how wonderful the house looks.

They came to the house to provide an estimate and leave me with the paint color choices. Then they were back in touch before the project started to get paint color choices. They showed up on time, I was at work, my 18 year old son was home with them. The work was done in 2 days as was stated, it was done well and I had no need to call them back for anything.

I don't typically write reviews but I'll do so for Angelo (the owner). Needed some painting on the exterior of the house to stay complaint with lead inspection guidelines. Started the process late and only had 3-4 days during Christmas time to get it done before year end. Angelo not only went to the property 10 mins after i called him but started and finished the work within 2 days. The work was excellent and high quality (2 coats with primer) and the cost was way below other competitors that I called. Angelo also has a reputation for being extremely detail oriented that I found to be true- he found and fixed some other things he did not need to at no cost because they could've been a problem to me in the future. Finally, he called me 3 days after the job was done and payment made to tell me he revisited the property and inspected it in case he missed anything. I need to get the interior of my house painted and I'll be using Angelo in a few weeks. Thrilled that I found him. Highly recommended.

The owner inspected the site and even talked to the beat cop (this is a busy downtown location) to get the lowdown on what to expect and when he could put up ladders. We met him at the site a few days later agreed on a price and color and signed an agreement. He showed up the next day with his crew, we let him in the building for window access to help with patching, painting and moving the ladder (it's 4 stories and a long ladder).

Luckily it was pretty warm and dry that day so the work went quickly due to fast dry times.

Other buildings on the block were painted recently due to city citations. Ours looks the best by far.

Angelo performed the work over three days - working in the morning due to the extreme heat. He did an excellant job.  Pointed out a number of additional problems during the job which he performed within the original estimate.  I would definitely go back to him when the need arises.

They showed up on time.  They are very thorough and their quality of work was amazing.  They used brush painting instead spray paint which is big when painting a home.   He takes pride in his work.  They were negotiable and easy to work with.   I am very satisfied with this company.  

Pintail Painters, Inc. was professional and courteous. The owner, Evangelos (Angelo) Theofanidis, was prompt and efficient. He returned all of my phone calls and reported to my residence every day on time. His work and the work of his workers were very impressive and thorough. He was very detailed oriented and the painting was excellent. He was knowledgeable and careful with the preparation work. I was impressed of the quality paints that he used (included in the price) and his expertise in what my house needed in terms of preparation and painting work. When the work was finished, he cleaned up and left my home in perfect condition. I look forward to using him again and referring him to my friends and family. I would highly recommend the company.
