Put in vent for kitchen microwave (including purchased for us at cost a new microwave) and vented through the wall and out the roof. 
Fixed leak around skylight on roof w/ elaborate and what appears to be effective solution to a chronic problem we were having 
He even fixed our broken door closer for free. 

Despite apparent successful initial installiton of the microwave vent. It  does not vent to the outside of the house. This was the same problem we had before, it blows back into the house. We have been told it was installed wrong by an inspector and that it needs to be corrected. Conway General Contracting will no longer return our calls or emails that I have sent via Angie's List website."

"These guys are the greatest! They saved us a lot of money! We had a dumpster before the bullbag and for 3 tons of material and a week rental of the dumpster it cost us $486! We own the bullbag now, had a full bag - 3.5 tons - picked up and it was only $229! We didn't have any rental charges, excess weight fees, or anything! These guys did everything they said they would! "The original deal I bought was for 1 person for 6 hours. Somehow there was a scheduling mix-up, and on the day I expected them, they didn't come. When I called, the scheduling mistake became apparent. The person on the phone was very apologetic, and told me no one could come. But, maybe 20 minutes later, she called back and said, she could send two people for three hours now. I agreed, and they arrived soon after. Evidently someone else had canceled, so I was lucky.
They were cheerful and friendly. They knew what they were doing, had the appropriate tools to accomplish my task list, and didn't leave a mess. They worked efficiently and got my list of things done early. They hung pictures for me in the remaining time, and did all that annoying measuring etc, as well as dealing with a wall that doesn't like to take nails. It's been some time since they did the work, and I'm happy to say that their efforts have held up. The gate has remained stable, the re-hung door works great, etc. In contrast to some others I've hired whose work has not held up.
I would be happy to use this company again, and it was great to get all those things taken care of.

"It started with an e-mail to Todd, who responded very quickly.  Sent pictures of job via phone,  original estimate was $935.  Told Todd that was way to expensive, he quickly countered with let me come by and see for myself.  I agreed, he came by while I was not home, (which was fine).  His next estimate was $550.  During our conversations I explained to Todd that I am a very hands on homeowner and I'm very attention to detail kind of person.  Todd assured me that everything will be good to go when he completed the job.On 08/14/2012; Todd showed up, he informed me that his normal worker was not going to be available, and that this worker had his truck with most of his tools in it.  I took about 20 minutes to explain the job to Todd and reminded him again that I'm very attention to detail.  As I watch Todd work, it became to me he was not proficient with framing.  Not having his tools, he was having to make do with what he had.  I offered to allow him to use some of mine.  As I continue to check in with Todd, I became more and more uncomfortable with his work.  When he was putting the side jacks in, he was leaving 1/4 - 1/2 gaps between the jacks and the header.  His solution was to fill the gap with shims.  When he was putting the 2x4 in since nothing was aligning correctly, Todd continued to use shims instead of fixing the problem correctly.  After about 45 minutes of leaving Todd alone, I came back out and noticed more shaved peices of 2x4 as filler pieces.  At this point, I asked Todd to stop what he was doing and that I would finish the work myself.  We ended on good terms, I just felt that Todd was out of his comfort zone for this particular job, and as a attention to detail homeowner I beleive I made him nervous.  I do have pictures of before and after work.
Overall:  Todd was a pleasure to work, asked alot of questions, but again this particular job I felt was outside of his comfort zone."

"It went well. Sluggers was very easy punctual and affordable. What impressed me most was that they were very detailed not only in their quality of work but explaining why they were doing what they were doing. It really showed me the cause and effect of both the problem and solution.

"They were always on time and very friendly. However i am not sure they are licensed for all that they say they are. I had them install 3 water heaters I purchased from Home Depot and one of them did not work, the plumber came back out and said it was not his fault, I called the manufacturer who told me the warranty was void because a permit was not taken out for the install.  Perfection finally replaced the non-working water heater but I am now left with 3 water heaters with voided warranties because they never took out the permitst. Our basement floor is not level and we were left with a lot of the clean-up after each project. Instead of a cement truck they brought pallets of quick-rete and mixed it in our back yard using our hose and water. We were told that the old concrete patio would be removed and rebar and cement would be installed, instead they simply covered the cracked patio with a thin layer of cement. The main waste line replacement was not done correctly and caused leaking from the first floor bathroom. Everything seemed great at first, on time, on budget, and very responsive. However looking at each project now, I would not hire them again."
