"We had a problem with birds trying to access our attic through a small opening. Casey was knowledgeable, efficient, and courteous, explained everything he was doing, and took care of our bird issue for a very reasonable price. Also checked the rest of our house for any other potential problems. Would definitely hire again."

"He came to pesticide  for carpenter ants and to examine the place and propose rats control treatment. At the end of the day I didn't need the the rats control and no charge was made. However the problem was that the price I was quoted for the rats control was $150 for the first treatment and $45 for each consecutive visit. The gut that came in said it was $350 for the first treatment and $60 thereafter.
This is completely unacceptable and unreliable and it left me really angry for being scammed into it.
Again, it was not needed after all, but still unacceptable.

"5 days of set traps, netted 1 of 2 skunks. initial issue with size of traps. Father & Son both very reasonable to deal with. was told that if 2nd skunk is sited within the next couple of days, they would return & reset trap. I believe they did their best for us, tough to determine how wildlife behaves. pricing in line with most other pest control companies."

"Tom and Steve returned my first call quickly, and communicated right away when we had to reschedule due to weather. They had to bring an especially tall ladder to get to the third floor to remove bird debris from an uncovered dryer vent. They took care of the problem efficiently and we enjoyed meeting super sniffer Wellington who did a perimeter check of the property while they were working."

Bird Control questions, answered by experts

The cost of pest control services depends on various factors, but the average homeowner pays around $175, with a typical range of $100 to $500. Your final cost will be influenced by the type of pest, the size and severity of the infestation, and the number of treatments needed.

Service costs also vary by frequency:

  • One-time service: $300–$550

  • Initial visit for ongoing service: $150–$300

  • Monthly visits: $40–$70

  • Quarterly visits: $100–$300

  • Annual visits: $300–$550

For specific pest examples, getting rid of spiders typically costs between $100 and $300, whereas a termite infestation can cost from $230 to $2,500 or more, depending on the extent of the damage.

Identifying the specific animal running on your roof at night can be challenging without direct observation. Common nocturnal roof visitors include raccoons, squirrels, opossums, and rats. Raccoons are bigger and can create heavy thumping sounds. Squirrels are agile and may produce rapid scurrying noises. Opossums tend to move stealthily with less noise. Rats can make scratching or gnawing sounds. To determine the culprit, look for signs like footprints, droppings, or damaged areas near the roof. For accurate identification, consult a pest control professional or set up wildlife cameras near potential entry points.

The cost to hire an exterminator or pest control service is $175 on average, with typical costs ranging from $100 to $500. However, you could spend more depending on several factors, including the type of pest, the size and severity of the infestation, and the number of visits required.

Service costs also vary by frequency:

• One-time service: $300–$550

• Initial visit with ongoing service: $150–$300

• Monthly visits: $40–$70

• Quarterly visits: $100–$300

• Annual visits: $300–$550

The type of pest significantly impacts the price. For example, exterminating spiders typically costs between $100 and $300, while a termite problem can range from $230 to $2,500 or more, depending on the extent of the damage. Routine pest control services can help prevent future infestations and costly damage to your home.

The lifespan of a bird's nest depends on the species. The building process can take from two days to three weeks. Once built, the nesting period for baby birds can last from two to ten weeks before they leave the nest. While most young birds are ready in two to six weeks, some predatory species may need up to two and a half months. Some species nest four to five times per year, so a nest could remain in use for several months. For specific information about a particular nest's longevity, it is best to consult a wildlife professional.

Maintain sealed entry points, use deterrents like spikes or sonic devices, and keep areas clean to discourage nesting.
